Full Moon Curse (by Dream) novel Chapter 204

Chapter 204

The anger I feel is on another level, as I stalk through the pack. Dragging Nadia behind me on the way to where I’m going.

I can’t even think straight. She didn’t even give a logical reason as to why she doesn’t like her, just threw her out, like she wasn’t important to me. To our family. To the whole damn pack!

Nadia’s silent behind me, probably reeling through her thoughts on what she did wrong. I hate my mom for making her feel this way. I hate her!

I begin to storm through the park and see Aspen playing football with Lenny and the twins again. Another spark of anger begins to spark in my soul, and I feel like I nearly go blind.

Aspen notices me, as I watch her with them, still stalking through the park, but I can’t take my eyes off them. I can’t take my eyes off her. Which pisses me off even more. Why the fuck do I care who she’s with or what’s she’s doing?

My mate is right behind me, I have no reason to care other than for her safety, but she’s with Lenny and the twins, she’s not in any danger.

Aspen’s eyes widen as she looks over my head, like she sees something scary. Probably the stupid cloud she claims she sees. I don’t know what she’s talking about though.

I don’t think she even knows what she’s talking about.

She strides over to me, but I don’t slow down. “Not right now, Aspen.” I growl, gripping Nadia’s hand tighter and continuing down my path.

Aspen runs in front of me and places her hand on my chest, effectively stopping me in my tracks, for fear of charging over her and hurting her.

And regardless of what everyone thinks of me, I don’t want to hurt anyone. Shun my mother, yes, but even being as mad as I am, I still don’t even want to hurt her.

I close my eyes and shake my head, to try and calm down a little before looking down at Aspen. Her wide, frightened eyes does something to my soul. Making me take a deep breath and taking a step back.

“Play with us.” She almost orders, and I notice Lenny and the twins standing in a half circle a few feet away. I shake my head, “Not right now.” I tell her, but she doesn’t back down.

She never backs down.

“Play. Here.” She steps to the side and throws Nadia the ball. “Play, please. We want to get to know you a bit, Nadia.” Aspen says, though it seems she’s having trouble.

She has no idea what just went down, and she seems to want to try. I look back at Nadia and her unsure look meets mine. “Okay. I don’t think I’ll be very good though.” Nadia says sweetly, but I love that she wants to try.

She’s hardly been trying with me, so maybe getting to know my friends will be a good first step.

Aspen smiles, then looks over my face, then up above my head. Her jaw clenches and her stern look meets my

eyes.
