Chapter 216
“You killed Liam’s parents.” I growl and a slow smirk crosses her face. “Did I? I don’t recall that.” She giggles. My head is swimming, but I need to find a way to distract her. Maybe if I manage that, I’ll be able to get free of these chains.
My mind starts going over everything she’s said, and I look over at the camera to see what they’ve come up with, when a word she mentioned pops into my head. “We?” I ask, and her face falls, but only for a second.
“Yes, we. Me and the person I’m working with, silly.” She stutters just slightly and I know I’m onto something.
I shake my head, barely able to move it with how heavy my whole bodies starting to feel. “No. You’re lying. Friends don’t lie.” I say weakly and her eyes narrow on me.
“I’m not lying!” She shouts.
My eyes fall closed, but I force them back open. No! I will not die here. At least not until I kill this witch.
A smirk forms on my face. Her demeanor proving she is. I can’t die. I need to warn them that there’s someone else. Probably another witch that we need to look out for. This girl is not working alone.
“So, what? Is this a trial run for you. The actual boss, making sure you can get the job done?” I ask her, and her head shakes and body starts twitching from anger. “I’m the one in charge here!” She shouts and I laugh. Already feeling the bands around me loosening.
“Okay. That’s why she’s come to clean up your mess, right? I doubt you’ve killed anyone. You aren’t that strong, are you?” My eyes turn slowly to her.
She turns around, trying to compose herself, but the bands are finally loose enough. I pull myself from the wall, landing lightly on the ground, and start walking over to her.
“You’re wrong.” She starts to turn around. “I’m going to kill you.” She grits out.
She turns fully around, and her eyes widen when she finds me right behind her.
I don’t wait. I don’t say anything and give her time to catch her bearing; I grab ahold of her neck and turn it to the side as hard as I can.
Her hand slams into my side, but then she falls to the ground. Her neck having successfully been snapped.
I look down and see the knife sticking out of my side and groan in pain as I yank it out, then jab it into her heart for good measure.
I have no idea if she can come back from a snapped neck, but I find it unlikely she’ll come back from a blade to the heart.
I pull it out and stab her several more times, letting my anger flow through me, until my body weakens to the point I can hardly move.
I glance back at the door. The door that’s locked and the only way they can get in, is if I open it.
I crawl on the floor to the door. Using the rest of my strength to start turning the lock as I hear someone banging
outside the door.
