At this point I’m not sure if I’m trying to convince everyone else or myself.
He lets out a sarcastic laugh, “You came to check on me after having my mate imprisoned. Get the fuck out of my house, Amy.” He sneers, finally looking over at me.
I try not to let his words hurt, because I know he’s upset. When Liam was locked up, I was angry too, and it wasn’t the same. I knew Liam would get out as soon as we figured everything out.
Dallas and Cole both growl low in the back of their throats.
“Griff. We have reason, we have proof. Your mate got herself imprisoned.” I tell him calmly, but his reaction is anything but.
He flies out of his chair and is face to face with me before I can blink. Dallas and Cole, both throw me behind them, but Griffon’s eyes don’t move from mine.
“She had no idea what was happening! What they were talking about! You made me fail my mate! You did this! Dad only hated her because you did! He’ll believe anything you fucking say! I just can’t believe you did this to me! I hate you! I want nothing to do with you! I want you out of my life! You are nothing to me!” Griffon sneers not taking his eyes off me, telling me how much he means every word he just said.
A snarl leaves Dallas, and he takes a step forward.
“Griffon…” The whisper of his name has us all turning around and seeing Aspen standing at his door wide eyed and shocked. Tears glistening in her eyes as she looks at my son.
I look back at Griffon and swear I see confusion? Regret? I’m not sure, but something other than the anger he’s
portraying.
I take a deep breath holding back the tears that are threatening to fall.
“How could you say that?” Aspen whispers, still looking at Griffon and he flinches slightly before turning around and going to sit back in his chair.
“I want all of you the fuck out of my house.”
