Chapter 231

She chuckles as she loosens her fist and lets her hand fall to her side. Griffon stays attached to the wall, heavily breathing. His eyes find mine and I can see the sorrow sitting there.

“Mom…” He’s voice is cut off and I glare back at the witch. I can already tell she’s stronger than the last witch.

I don’t know what to do.

The witch sighs, “This wasn’t supposed to happen yet. Apparently, I made the spell on Nadia too strong, Griffon here just couldn’t stay away.” She ticks and I shake my head.

“You’ve been hiding her this whole time?” I ask and look over to see Clara’s triumphant smile, making me want to rip off her face even more than I already do.

The witch glares at me, “No. Not the whole time, just since you murdered my daughter.” She says glancing over at Griffon again. Like she’s saying an eye for an eye.

My breath hitches and Liam growls. “That wasn’t her!” He shouts, right before his voice gets cut off too.

His eyes fall on me as he tries to say something to me, but it won’t come out. Both of us looking at each other like we already know the outcome of all this.

I turn back to the witch. I can feel Dallas practically on top of me, ready to attack if the witch makes a move. I don’t have it in me to tell him it won’t matter.

This witch can turn even the strongest wolves into splatters of blood. If she decides to do that to us; we’re all screwed.

The witch glares at Liam, “There’s no point in lying. My little spy has told me everything.” She says smiling over at Clara.

I don’t even know how to react to any of this. I don’t know how to help them.

She turns back to me and ticks her tongue, “You weren’t very nice to our dear Nadia.” She says the amusement returning to her voice.

I glare over at Clara, “I don’t give respect to people who don’t deserve it.” I snarl and Clara takes a step forward with a snarl on her face. The witch grabs her shoulder and pulls her back. “Due time. Due time.” She song sings and then looks at me once again.

“Are you angry, Amy?” She asks, like it’s the most important question to know. My teeth clench as I refuse to answer. I don’t know why she’d even have to ask.

She twists her wrist and Liam starts cringing in pain. I can tell how much he’s hurting, but he’s trying to hold it in. He doesn’t want me to attack. I know that.

I start to move, but the witch ticks her tongue again, “No, no, no. You can’t save him.” She says and my face swings to her as tears start falling down my cheeks.

Dallas holds me back and takes a step back, his arms wrapped around my waist. “Why are you doing this? What do you want?” I shout at her, finally losing the little bit of composure I was holding on to.

An evil smile spreads across her face, and she starts to walk closer to me.

Dallas pulls me back, a sharp growl leaving his lips right before she flings her hand at him and he yelps, falling to the ground.

I turn to make sure he’s okay, and when I look back up she’s standing right in front of me. She grabs my chin, squeezing it tightly, holding me in place.

“I’m here for you. This has all been for you.” She says as her eyes study mine, waiting for a reaction. Which I give her as my eyes widen and I shake my head, forcing her grip to move with me. “No. The witch said…” Her smile grows impossibly larger.

“You don’t share your plans with the help. I needed her inside the pack. I needed her testing you. I needed her watching you. I don’t care about the little games this bitch wanted to play.” She says as I continue to shake my head.

She nods and then holds my face still as I hear Dallas start groaning in pain behind me as he comes too. I can hear Liam and Griffon both grunting, trying to break free, but it doesn’t happen.

Her eyes never leave mine, “I’ve wanted you ever since this you begged my mother for help and now, I finally have you.” She says, studying my every move.

What?

But I don’t move. I can’t move. Her hold on my chin doing little compared to the shock running through my

blood.

All of this is my fault. Everything is always my fault.
