Hazel shakes her head at me, “I can’t leave.” She tells me and my eyes soften towards her. “I’m here for your whole family, Hazel. I won’t leave them here.” I tell her and she swallows looking down the hall, making sure no ones close.
She finally looks back at me, “He’s not against killing me, Aspen. The only reason I’m still alive is because of
“I Liam and Amy. If we hadn’t been friends…” She shakes her head, tears beginning to glisten in her eyes. wouldn’t be here.” She whispers.
My jaw clenches, “He won’t hurt you, Auntie. I won’t let him.” I growl at her and she looks at me, tilting her head. “How can you stop him.” She asks.
A smirk slides across my face, her eyes widen. “So, it’s true? How did you know? Even back then, you knew… How? Are you physic?” She asks, and I shrug. “I don’t know what I am.” I tell her with complete honesty.
I have no idea why I can see and feel the things I do, but I’m long past questioning it. Now I just let it lead me and hope I don’t end up dead along the way.
The dreams didn’t start until about a week ago, but the feelings have been there since I got my wolf.
Everyone’s just always assumed I was wild and carefree, but I mostly always had a reason for what I choose to do, even if I didn’t know what it was most of the time.
We hear footsteps down the hall and my head turns towards them. The black cloud that radiates from him, tells me it’s Dallas, even before he comes into view.
He stops between our cells and looks between Hazel and I, clearly thinking something, but not letting us in on his thoughts.
He turns towards my cell and grabs the key from his pocket, turning it in the lock and opening the cell for me to get out.
He grabs my hands once I’m out of the cell and cuffs my wrists in front of my body, before turning and leading me out of the cells in complete silence.
I glance back at Hazel, as worry swims in her eyes. I smile widely at her and she huffs. Probably thinking I haven’t changed at all.
It’s not true though… No one made it out of what happened without having to grow up, without having to grow stronger.
He leads me through the maze of halls again, when I notice the front doors come into view. I look behind me, then up at Dallas, “Where are we going?” I ask, I had figured I would be going to see Griffon again.
His jaw ticks, but he doesn’t answer, just open the doors wide and nudges his head to tell me to go through them.
We walk in the direction of the park and a haunting feeling starts to whisper in body, starting at my stomach and skating around my arms and legs.
What are we doing?
He walks me to the place the park used to sit, and I see what has to be every pack member in this pack standing

around the stage.
The pack has lessened its numbers greatly, I see some people I recognize and some I don’t, a lot of people got out before it got really bad, before he shut the border and decided people couldn’t leave.

My eyes slowly slide up to the stage and my blood runs cold.
Cameron is kneeled down in front of Griffon. A whip in his hand and blood trickling from Cameron’s back. My teeth clench.
I turn in Dallas’s hold and look directly at him. “What did he do?” I ask him and he looks down at me with a sneer. “Aloud ‘someone’ to enter with a silver knife. We wanted you to see what happens when you threaten the safety of this pack.” He answers and I stand a little straighter and look into his eyes. “I’m sorry, Dallas.” I whisper to him, and he looks down at me confused, “For wh…” I slam my knee into his groin and watch as he falls to the ground.
I don’t waste time. I run to the stage, even with my hands awkwardly tied in front of me. I jump on the stage and fall to my knees looking at Griffon and covering Cameron from any more hits.
