Chapter 254

We all wait to see what’s about to happen, but he just moves further in the room, Heather and Micah follow him

When Griffon doesn’t say anything for a minute. Hazel looks back at the map. “She has the whole town blocked off from my ability to locate them exactly, but they’re in this town.” She points down to the scrap of paper left after the fire burned the rest away. I look down, Kirksville.

I look over at mom, “That’s only a few hours from here.” I whisper, and she throws her head into my dads’ chest. I know how I feel about all this, but I can’t imagine how everyone else feels.

“It’s real? They’re really there? They’re really alive?” Griffon says ordering an answer and I look at him with pity as he glares at Hazel.

She nods, staring at the map like she wasn’t sure she really believed it until now. “They’re really alive.” She whispers, then turns back to Cole as he squeezes her to him and stares down at the map shocked.

Dallas stares at his shoes, lost. Nick runs his hand through his hair, the twins both stare at the map, and Griffon’s eyes shoot to Heather, as Micah holds her steady.

Griffon shakes his head and looks at me, looking like a frightened kid that has no idea what to do, rather than the strong Alpha he wants everyone to believe him to be.

“What do we do now?” He whispers to me, and my jaw clenches as I look around the room again.

“We make a plan.”

My dad steps in front of me and glares at Griffon, “We don’t need you here.” He growls, and Griffon flinches taking a step back before his anger overtakes him. “If you think I’m just going to sit back and wait, you’re wrong.” Griffon growls but my dad doesn’t back down.

“No, I’m not. I don’t trust you. I don’t like you and you’re a risk to everyone here if you come with us.” Walker growls and I see the hurt in Griffon’s eyes, but this time he doesn’t mask it.

He nods, “I understand, but you’re not keeping me from helping them. And you can’t ask me to sit back while my mate puts herself in danger. I have to go.” Griffon tells him, and my lips purse as my dad turns to me quickly.

“Mate?” He growls, and I look at the ceiling before nodding. “Maybe.” I tease, trying to diffuse the tension, but my dad starts shaking with anger.

Mom grabs his arm and looks up at him. “We knew this was possible. You need to calm down. No matter what

with this, then discuss you rejecting him.” Dad tells me sternly and a stab of pain rushes through me e thought of it. He’s not wrong though. I need to figure out if I could ever look past everything he’s And he needs to figure out if he’ll ever be able to move on from it.

I glance up at Griffon and he’s staring at me like he’s completely lost, and my heart breaks a little more.

I turn to Hazel. “Okay. So, you said your powers are blocked from finding an exact location, but does that mean your powers will be blocked once we get there?” I ask her and she bites her lip. “I don’t know. I say we don’t

factor in my gifts. Once we get there we can reassess.” She tells me and I nod.

“Well, we can’t search an entire town, and if they see any of us there, they’re going to figure out we’re on to them.” Walker says, and I nod. “They’re under ground.” I tell him and he grits his teeth, “That will only make things more difficult.” He growls.

“Maybe one of us can go in as bait. Have a tracking device hidden on us and try and be seen so they take us, then we’ll be able to find them.” Dallas suggests, and I stare at him for a minute, “I’ll do it.” He tells me, and I shake my head.

The wheels turning in my head. “No. You won’t work. They want Alpha’s and Luna’s. The only way they’d risk exposure is if they get something out of it. They’d probably just kill anyone else. Griffon and I should do it.” I tell them, and my dad shakes his head.

Griffon glares at him. “It’d be the smartest play.” Griffon grits out, and dad continues to shake his head, “Why not?” Griffon growls.

Dad glares at him, “First of all, like I said I don’t trust you. Second, she’s not a Luna, and if your dad’s alive, you’re not an Alpha!” My dad shouts at him, and Griffon’s eyes go wide with that realization.

Everyone slowly turns to Heather and Micah. Heather picks at her nails, and nods. “Tell me what to do.” She says and Micah stands tall next to her, supporting her decision.
