Full Moon Curse (by Dream) novel Chapter 259

Chapter 259

I wake up forgetting that things have changed, feeling the weight of someone behind me, freaks me out and I jump up, turn around and try to push them off me.

Liam grunts when I hit him in the stomach and grabs my arms, and I realize it’s him. I stare at him wide eyed and in shock, then look around the room.

The hospital room.

Because we got out. We finally got out.

But it was too late.

The tears are forming before I even look back at Liam, and when I do, he instantly pulls me into his arms and against his chest.

“I got you, Angel. We’re safe.” Liam whispers into my neck. A sob racks my body as I think about everything that has happened. As I think about everything that got us here.

What I had to do. What I need to do…

I pull back and look into Liam’s eyes. He’s worried and scared. “Our kids are okay?” I whisper, wanting to reassure myself that everything I did, I did for a reason. I did to protect them.

He nods, “They’re fine, Angel. Don’t worry about them. How are you feeling?” He whispers and I shake my head. “I feel… Fine.” I answer and his jaw ticks. “Don’t lie to me.”

I shake my head again and lay my head down on his chest, “I’m in your arms again, our kids are fine. I’m happy.” I whisper and he sighs, squeezing my shoulders and keeping me next to him.

I can’t tell him. Not yet. It can wait.

We stay like that while the doctor looks over me and declares I can have more visitors.

Liam kisses my forehead, “Who do you want to see first?” He whispers into my hair. I shrug, “Dallas, he’s probably having a mental break down at this point.” I joke with him and he tries to smile as he gets off the bed and heads for the door.

1 lay back down and look at the ceiling while I wait for him to get Dallas.

I need to talk to Hazel. I need to see if there’s anything I can do about my current situation.

Dallas rushes through the door, his eyes wide when they find mine. Tears already starting to build in them. He comes straight to me, sitting on the side of my bed and pulling me to his chest.

“I’m so sorry, Alms. So fucking sorry.” He whispers and I shake my head. “This wasn’t your fault, Dals.” I whisper. He shakes his head, “There’s mor…” “No, there’s not. Everything’s fine and we don’t blame you.” Liam cuts him off, glaring at him.

My eyes scrunch as I sit up and look over at Llam. “What’s going on?” I ask, and Liam shakes his head. “I don’t know, but it’s not something you need to worry about right now.” He says giving me a look that dares me to argue.

I almost do, but decide I really don’t have it in me right now. I look back at Dallas and he looks like he’s been hit by a bus. His hair and clothes disheveled, and bags under his sad eyes.

I chuckle, and fix the collar of his shirt, “I can’t believe Nick let you leave the house looking like this.”

He flinches, “Little preoccupied by our dead friends coming to life I guess.” Dallas responds as he looks at Liam.

I sigh, “Thanks for coming.” I whisper, even if I wish they hadn’t. Them coming sealed my fate, I would happily continue being tortured over what’s to come. I had more control of that situation.

Dallas eyes me then shakes his head, narrowing his eyes. “Your lying. Why are you lying about that?” He asks, trying to read my face.

Liam stands up off the wall and looks at me to, “Why are you lying about that?” Liam asks, eyeing me as well.

My teeth clench, “I’m not lying. I’m happy to see you. I’m excited to see everybody.” I tell them.

“How’d you find us?” I ask trying to change the subject, not wanting them to read to much into it. Dallas eyes me like he knows exactly what I’m doing. “Aspen, figured out you two were still alive and Hazel did a location spell.” Dallas answers and I nod. “How did Aspen find out?” I ask and Dallas shrugs, “I guess she had been having dreams.” He explains and a small smile graces my face.

I always knew she was special.
