Full Moon Curse (by Dream) novel Chapter 271

Chapter 271

“The ring won’t work, Liam.” I hear Hazel’s whispered voice as I slowly make my way out of sleep. “Why not?” Liam growls lowly from beside me.

I can feel his arms wrapped around me, as he holds me close to him.

“Because it’s not keeping the witch from her. It’s an entity inside her. I have no idea how to keep her from just coming forward whenever she wants.” Hazel whispers back.

“Then we’ll have to find something!” Liam whisper shouts, and I hear Hazel sigh. “Liam, she’s already working through the night trying to find something to stop her.” Cole whispers.

I slowly open my eyes and I’m looking right at Hazel. Her eyes widen slightly, then Liam grabs me and looks down at me. “Amy?” He whispers, and I nod.

He pulls me to him and squeezes me. I saw it all happen. I saw what they saw; my body killing Clara. But it wasn’t me. I didn’t want her to die, and now that I know the witch wanted her dead, I’m even more convinced that she knew something.

If the witch can just take control whenever she wants, how do I keep anybody safe? I had zero control of her. It was like I was a passenger in my own brain. Almost felt like when I shift, but with zero control.

He pulls back at looks at me, I shake my head. “You guys need to discuss this somewhere else.” I whisper defeated. Liam looks at me worried. “Is she talking to you?” He asks, but I shake my head. “No, but she wasn’t when we talked about needing Clara alive either.” I look over at Hazel. “I can’t know anything about what you’re finding or doing.” I tell her and she nods. Her face falling to pity, like she’s already come to the same conclusion.

I look back at Liam. “I couldn’t control her. I couldn’t do anything. I’m a danger to everyone around me, if I can’t

control her.” I tell him.

He shakes his head, “No. You’re not going anywhere.” He says sternly, and I shake my head. “No, I’m not, because no matter where I go. Someone will be in danger.” I’m cut off. “I’m not locking you up again.” He growls, and my teeth clench at the thought of it.

My face falls, “Liam… My dad. The entity wanted his children. Do you really think I’ll want to live if I hurt them or you? Anyone? Locking me up is the only option. It’ll keep everybody safe. At least for now.” I tell him and he shakes him head, throwing his hand over his face and standing up.

“We got out! This was supposed to be done!” He shouts, at the ceiling, like he’s yelling at the moon Goddess herself.

I stand up and grab his face and he reluctantly looks down at me. The water glistening in his eyes nearly brings me to my knees. “Liam, I love you. I have no doubt in my mind that you guys will figure this out. We deserve the happily ever after that we’ve only gotten a glimpse of. You’ll figure this out, because we’re not done. Our story is not done.” I whisper looking into his eyes.

His eyes soften and his jaw unclenches, and he grabs my cheek, “We’ll figure this out.” He says, putting his forehead on mine. I nod.

I turn back to Hazel and Cole, “You have to stay away from me.” I tell Hazel and her eyes glisten. “We just got you back.” She whispers, and I walk over and pull her into a hug. “We’ll have our time too, H. But you’re an

important part of hopefully getting there. She’ll want you dead too.” I whisper to her, and she nods as we both start crying.

I loosen my hold and pull Cole into the hug with us. “I’ve missed you guys.” I whisper to them, and Cole squeezes both of us to him tightly. “We missed you too, Aims.”

I pull away from them and see Dallas sitting on the bed. I smile at him, and he shakes his head, “No need to say bye to me, Aims. If you’re locking yourself up. I’ll be outside your cell keeping you company.” He smirks, and I smirk back, knowing there’s no chance of me changing his mind.

“Angel, I can not lock you up. I just can’t.” Liam whispers and I turn to look at him. “You don’t have to, I’ll do it. Liam we both know this is for the best. I can’t hurt anyone else. You know that. You know me.” I tell him walking back over to him again.

He closes his eyes when I’m wrapped into his arms and presses his forehead back to mine. “Angel. Please. We can find another way. I can’t see you behind bars again.”

I give him a small smile, as I try to hold back tears from the thought of it. “It’s just until you find a way to keep her locked up. Okay?” I ask him and he shakes his head.

I sigh, “This is the only way for now.” I whisper. “I love you, Liam.” I whisper and he opens his eyes to look into mine, “I love you, Angel. We’ll find something, I promise.” He tells me and I nod.

I take a deep breath and turn around, “Okay. Well, I’m going to pack I guess.” I tell the room.
