He walks me passed what I’m assuming were Hazel and Aspen’s cells thanks to my scenting coming back. I really need this wolfsbane work the rest of the way out of my system. I’m looking forward to being able to speak with my wolf again and being able to talk to Amy anytime I want to.
I hate any distance between us, and I need to be able to constantly know she’s okay. Dallas keeping me updated on the phone he gave me is hardly enough.
I follow Griffon down the hall, until he stops at a door, and pulls out the key. He turns to the guard that followed us down here, “Go grab some water.” He orders them and the guard instantly takes off.
I eye Griffon and he shrugs, “I’m the only one with the key to get in. I’ve been gone for a bit, she’s probably thirsty and if you want her to live, she’ll need some water.”
I can’t find it in myself to care that she’s been suffering. She deserves everything that has ever happened to her. I mostly just hope she isn’t already dead.
We walk inside and she hangs from the ceiling, her feet barely touching the floor, and her head hanging down. I would have thought she were dead, if she hadn’t let out a moan when she tried to lift her head.
The hatred I have for this woman is clear on my face when she finally is able to lift her head to look and see who has entered. Her eyes widen when they move to me, and her body starts shaking. “Liam?” She barely whispers and my jaw ticks.
She stares at me amazed then shakes her head as if to clear it. “How?” She asks, but I didn’t come here to be asked questions. “We have some questions for you.” I growl, moving to the chair in the corner. “How are you alive?” She asks, but Griffon slaps her across the face. “You don’t get to ask questions!” He shouts.
It’s not the act of it happening to her, but the shock at seeing Griffon like this that causes me to pause. He’s changed so much since I saw him last.
The guard comes in and Griffon motions to Clara, the guard rushing over and tips the bottle so she can drink. She guzzles down the entire contents, and the guard throws the bottle to the side, then moves to close the door and stand beside it.
“What do you know of the witches you partnered with to destroy your pack?” I snarl at her, and she shakes her head. “I never wanted to destroy the pack.” She breaths.
I stand up and glare at her, “No. You just wanted to destroy my mate and our son. Two pillars of the pack. You thought that wouldn’t hurt the pack?” I snap and her eyes widen. “I just wanted you. I didn’t think about anything else, Liam. I always just wanted you, Baby.”
The look of disgust I give her causes her to flinch. “I don’t know how I could have been any clearer, I have told you numerous times that wasn’t an option.” I growl and she shakes her head. “Because of her! So, I figured we could kill two birds one stone. The witches wanted her, and I needed her gone.” Her shoulders lift as if she’s trying to shrug, but she just flinches in pain.
“You’re fucking delusional. I’d never choose you. Even if you were the last person on this planet, I’d never choose you.” I snarl, a deep growl bubbling in my chest.
She has the
nerve to look shocked. As if I haven’t made myself clear a million times before.

We question her for hours, Griffon taking on most of the work when it comes making her suffer, but either she really knows nothing, or she’s refusing to tell us anything.
There’s a knock at the door, and Griffon goes to open it just a crack, “Mom?” My body instantly starts moving to the door. Drawn to her, like I’ve always been.
Griffon opens the door further and the look on Amy’s face causes me to pause. I glance behind her at Dallas, and he shrugs. “She said she wanted to see you.” He tells me and I look back at Amy. “Angel. Are you okay?” I ask her, but she doesn’t respond.
Instead, her gaze is locked onto Clara.
Clara looks at her like she can murder her with just her mind, which just heightens my anger towards her. She has no right to fucking hate her.
“You’ve got to be kidding me.” Clara growls and I smirk, “What you thought you succeeded?” I ask her mockingly and Clara’s glare turns towards me.
Amy takes a step towards her.
“Stupid witch could never do anything right.” Clara growls and Amy smirks. It’s creepy and weird, like it doesn’t belong on her face. Then she takes another step and another.
She’s halfway to her before Dallas grabs her arm, “Aims. Maybe we should go.” He suggests, but Amy just shakes her head, yanks off his hold and moves closer.
