Chapter 310
Fuck my life. Of fucking course this happened. Why wouldn’t it? Nothing is going good for us anymore, of course someone got into the cells.
Fuck!
My eyes meet Walker’s as we rush over to the cells. We we’re at the wall explaining some things to the Alpha’s, trying to keep them as far away from the cells as possible.
‘He’ll understand once we explain.’ Walker tells me, and My teeth clench, ‘And then what?’ I ask him and I can tell by the look in his eyes, he’s as worried as I am about what Renolds will want to do.
We get to the cells in record time and my eyes dart to the smirk I see on Amy’s face… Not Amy… She’d never do this, and she definitely wouldn’t be laughing about it.
“Liam. What is going on?” Renolds growls, and my eyes move to his. “Renolds… It’s not what it looks like.” I tell him. “Don’t listen to him! He’s a liar!” The witch shouts, and a low growl of irritation leaves my throat. I’ve never hated someone as much as I hate this witch. It might be fucking poetic in the respect she’s inside the person I love the most in this world.”
Renolds looks between Amy and I, “Explain.” He snarls. His instincts clearly telling him he needs to protect Amy, but he can tell something’s wrong, or he would have helped her already. He’s always had a bleeding heart. Someone who would bring a rogue in and not think twice about it. He wants to help her.
I take a step closer to him, noticing the ring on his finger. “The witch… The one that took us and tortured us. She’s inside Amy.” I tell him, not seeing any other way out of this other than the truth. His eyes widen as he looks between us again, “You know I’d never lock her up. You know I’d never do this to her unless it was absolutely necessary.” I tell him calmly.
“Liam… Explain better.” He growls. My hand slides through my hair, as my eyes meet the shell of Amy. “The last time she got out, she nearly killed Hazel. She’s not always herself, like right now. This isn’t Amy.” I tell him.
“Amy, we don’t know what they’ll try to do to you.” I whisper walking closer to her. She shrugs, then reaches out and I take ahold of her hand. “I’m one person, Liam. Whatever they decide… It doesn’t matter. What matters is that they get to decide. That they don’t feel like we’ve done this to hide from them. They have a right to decide what happens to them, just like we do.”
I shake my head, “No. We’re not there yet. They don’t know you, they shouldn’t get to decide weather you live or die. I won’t allow it.” I snarl, looking into her eyes. Those eyes that have always cared about everyone else more than herself.
She gives me a small smile. “I think they should, Liam.” And I continue to shake my head, “No. Amy…” I’m cut off by Renolds. “Yes.” I turn to glare at him as Amy squeezes my hand tighter. “Liam, I know you’re scared, but she’s right. We all deserve the choice. This isn’t just your pack you’re putting at risk. If she’s right, it’s every pack and you don’t get to make the decision for all of us.” He snarls.
“I won’t let anyone hurt her.” I snarl back. He nods. “It might not come to that, maybe someone can help.” He tells me, and I try like hell not to see red and just kill him now.
Kill him before he can tell anyone else. Amy yanks on my hand and I look back at her. “What could it hurt. Liam, I know you want to protect me, but if we don’t find answers then I’m going to die anyway… We all might.” She tells me, and I swear my heart stops beating at the possibility.
