Full Moon Curse (by Dream) novel Chapter 333

Chapter 333

Hazel puts some weird herb mixture covering my stomach, chest, and even my face as I lay down on the long table in Hazel and Cole’s dining room.

Aspen walks over to me, grabbing my hand. “You better not die.” She says it low, like she doesn’t really want me to know she cares, but I know better.

She’s cares more about everyone in this family, probably more than all of us combined. She rivals my mother. They both want us all to live, as where everyone else would be okay with it, but they really just want their people to survive. Even me…

I want everyone to survive, but I need Aspen and my mom to make it out of this.

“I don’t plan on dying, Aspen.” I tell her, and she rolls her eyes, turning towards Hazel. “You hate him. I get it… We all get it… Please let it go for just a minute, and not think about the fact you could easily get him back right now.” Her eyes narrow at Hazel.

Hazel swallows, “I won’t let him die, Aspen.” She promises. I didn’t even realize the thought worried me, until I heard her promise she wouldn’t kill me.

I exhale, leaning my head back on the table and stare at the ceiling.

Aspen turns back to me, leaning down until her face is inches from mine. “It’s beautiful there. It’s peaceful and makes you want to forget all your problems… Don’t get sucked in. When we pull you back… You come.” She orders, I scoff reaching up to cup her cheek. I look into her eyes,

“The only thing I want is on this plane, I’ll be coming back.” I tell her, a small smile plays on her lips, then she surprises me, leaning down and kissing me. Gently, sweet, too quick and she pulls away. I search her face, study every inch.

This is what I’ll come back to, what I’ll remember if things get mixed up in the Goddess’s plane.

Once Aspen moves away, Hazel takes her place. Her hands land on my chest, and her eyes close.

“I still think we should have told Liam.” Mia whispers to my side, placing her hand gently on my shoulder, as the world starts spinning.

“He has enough to worry about right now.” Dallas says, coming up behind Mia to watch me die.

The world spins faster, and all I know is the last face I see before I die is not Dallas’s. I turn my head, looking for her, my mate.

She shrugs, “The things that happen as you grow older. The things you lose. Amy would carry this doll around with her, wherever she went, then when her and Liam stopped talking, she put it in the attic and never touched it again. It’s almost like she put that piece of her soul to rest.”

I just stare at her, she sighs, “I would assume that doll burned when she burnt down the house.” She whispers. My head tilts, “Dad burnt down the house.” I tell her, and she chuckles, looking into the distance again. She shakes her head, “Goddess, he was always so good to her. I mean, I know they had their times, but for the most part he’s done right by her.” I nod, still confused. “Are you saying dad didn’t?” I ask her, and she smiles, “He threw the match, I guess. But no, your mom was just about to do it herself, but your dad stopped her and did it himself so she wouldn’t have to feel the guilt.” Her eyes burn into mine, “He thinks he hasn’t done enough to save her, but I want you to tell him that he has. He may not be able to protect her from everything happening, but he’s saved her in so many ways.”

I swallow, “You think he can’t save her.” I state, Having a feeling that’s what she’s saying. Her tongue ticks, “I’m happy to see you, Griffon, But can’t help you, I can’t give you the answers you seek. It’s not allowed. The Goddess isn’t allowed. I pray you figure it out, because as much as I miss my child, I would never wish her to leave her family early, but I will be here if that happens. That being said…” She looks into the distance yet again, then back at me. “I’ve given you all I can.”

I just stare at her, “You’ve given me nothing.” I whisper, shocked that she’s not willing to help save her own child.

She purses her lips to the side, “I’m sorry, Griffon.”

Something pulls at my chest, but when I try to follow it, try to leave, go back to my mate… Nothing happens.

Heather’s eyes widen, “Griffon.” She whispers, coming closer and placing a hand on my chest. The horse next to us starts becoming clearer. The brown in his fur, the black in his eyes. I look at Heather, her eyes wide with worry, “No.” She rasps, looking around for… Help, maybe…
