Chapter 334
I just stare at him, his lifeless body, my teeth clenched. It doesn’t matter how much I know this isn’t for good, I’m still terrified,
Hazel stands over him, still chanting away.
I’m so focused, I don’t realize someone else has entered until it’s too late.
“Amy?” My mom whispers, and I look up at my mom, Dallas stands quickly next to her, “No.” Is all he says, before he starts charging for her.
“Hazel, move!” Cole shouts, but Hazel is lost in a haze.
I jump up, pushing her to the ground just before the spark of magic falls passed our heads.
No, not right now!
Hazel comes back slowly, and all we hear is chaos on the other side of the table.
Hazel stands, a ball of magic already in her hands.
I move too, I need to get Griffon out of view.
I ignore the growing chaos as Hazel joins the fight, and focus on moving Griffon.
I reach under him, managing to get him to the ground, just as Hazel flies past me, hitting the wall. I see the consciousness leave her eyes, and the fear escalates inside me.
No!
I look down at Griffon, then place him gently on the ground, then stand getting ready to join the fight.
Amy smiles over at me as soon as she sees me, “Guess you won’t be seeing him again.” She sneers. Her arm outstretched, holding Dallas and Cole against the wall.
“Please.” I rasp, not even sure what I’m asking for. I just know I can’t lose him.
Liam’s head shakes, Dallas walking over to grab Amy’s other hand. “She’s trapped in there with her.” He whispers, and Dallas’s teeth clench “She was anyway. This way… At least we have some control.” Dallas whispers.
Liam shakes his head, “It’s not the same. The witch is trapped now too.”
My anger overtakes me, “But she’s alive!” I shout at Liam, and his head snaps over to me. His eyes meet mine, then he follows my hand to Griffon’s then up his body to his face.
He slowly stands, “What’s going on?” He asks calmly, but deadly. “We thought we could…” Liam cuts me off, storming over to us. “You thought it was a good idea to use magic, now?” He shouts, snapping at me, and I swallow.
In retrospect, maybe not the best idea.
He groans kneeling down next to Griffon, so his face is next to his, “Wake up.” He rasps, I know he’s breaking, everything is falling apart.
My eyes close, regretting this decision greatly. Then Griffon starts coughing, my eyes fly to his as they flutter open.
He looks at Finn and Randy, confusion clear. I push Randy out of the way and lay down on top of him, holding him tightly. He wraps his arm around me, and kisses the top of my head, “I told you I’d come back, mate.” He whispers as a sob racks through my body.
