Full Moon Curse (by Dream) novel Chapter 60

Chapter 60

I’m just looking around the limo amazed, when Liam leans down close to my ear. “Do you like it?” I smile, “Of course! It’s beautiful, Liam. Thank you!” I look into his eyes, and he smirks, “Nothing is as beautiful as you, Amy. I’m so happy you came with me tonight, I want to make it magical.” I start to smile, but before I can his lips find mine. I’ll never get enough of him, I wish this feeling could last forever, but I know it…. No! I can’t think like that, not tonight. I promised myself I was just going to live tonight, no thinking of the future, no thinking of the past, just in the moment, with my amazing friends and amazing Liam.

When he pulls away, I hold onto the side of his tux making eye contact, “You look very handsome tonight, Liam.” I say with all the confidence that I usually never feel, he smirks and I pull him in for another kiss. I’m honestly not sure what all happened in the limo on the way to the restaurant, because I was a little preoccupied, but before I know it we’re there.

Liam takes my hand, leading us all inside the restaurant. Italian, my favorite, so I’m pretty excited. We all sit around the table, just talking about nothing, when there’s a shift in the air. We all feel it, it was so strange. When we look around, we see the she devils with their dates being sat a few tables away from us. Liam pulls my chair closer to him, right as Clara looks over at me with a smirk on her face.

Nope, not tonight, I’m not doing it. I turn towards our table, with everybody’s worried faces staring at me and smile. “What are you going to eat, Mia?” I ask, and everybody takes the hint and starts bullshitting again. Liam squeezes my shoulder and I look over at him. Nothing can go wrong tonight, I’m not worried. I know everyone at this table would protect me with their life, I have nothing to be worried about.

As we sit in the limo, everybody full from the delicious food. Who decided it was a good idea to eat before prom? I just feel bloated now. Liam goes to the bar and starts handing out glasses of champagne. Once he’s handed everybody a glass and sits down with his, he raises his, everybody follows suit. “To a night we’ll never forget.” We all clink glasses and take a sip. To a night we won’t forget.

We finally get to the prom and when we walk inside all the lights are off, everything is being lit up from the twinkling lights that are placed strategically all over the room. It looks… Magical… I look up at Liam, and just stare at him for a while. I really can’t believe this is happening, after everything we’ve been through, it’s just so surreal. He looks down at me and then pulls me closer to his side as we make it further inside the room. The stage’ is lit up from the DJs lights and he’s playing some rock song right now. I look around and a good portion of people are already on the dance floor dancing.

Mia of course, doesn’t want any time to go to waste as she grabs my arm and pulls me onto the dance floor. I soon find myself in the middle of all Mia’s friends including Kiera and Rebecca dancing like it’s everybody’s last night on earth. I’m hot and sweaty already when a slow song comes on and everybody breaks up to find their dates. I don’t move two inches, before Liam’s arms are wrapped around me and he starts moving us to the music. Twirling me around the dance floor, like we own it. He pulls me impossibly close to him and leans down to my ear, “I’ve been waiting all night for that freaking DJ to put on a slow song.” I lightly laugh and look up at him, “Really? I paid him not to. I should probably go talk to him.” I start to loosen my hold on him to walk to the DJ, when he laughs pulling me closer to him. “Ha, well I paid him more to play at least ten in a row, so buckle up.” His smile is dazzling, as he responds to my joke, but I know he’s not joking, but I couldn’t care less as Liam twirls me around again and again.
