Full Moon Curse (by Dream) novel Chapter 61

Chapter 61

We stay locked in each other’s arms for at least ten more songs, just like Liam requested, when the music turns low and the principal stands at the microphone asking for all the homecoming court to walk to the stage. I feel someone grab the small of my back and look up to see Dallas, as Liam kisses my forehead and walks to the stage with Walker and a football player, I think his name is Dave. Clara and the she devils walk up onto the other side of the stage. I see Clara trying to grab Liam’s attention, but he doesn’t look at her once, just stands there smiling

at me.

Dallas leans down and whispers in my ear, “You look amazing tonight, Amy. Every guy in this room has had their eye on you at some point.” I look at him like he’s crazy and he just shrugs, smiling. I honestly don’t really like the idea of every guy looking at me, it makes me feel naked. The only guy I was trying to impress is standing on that stage, about to be crowned homecoming king. I’ll be here for them to announce it, but I’m probably going to have to step outside for the dance.

Just like I figured Liam and Clara were crowned homecoming king and queen, and Dallas leads me outside. Honestly, the fresh air feels nice, it’s way too hot in there with all the werewolves body heat trying to kill me. Like he can read my mind Dallas takes a step away from me and smirks. “You know he doesn’t want to dance with her.” I smile, “I know. I’d just rather not watch it.” As soon as it leaves my mouth, Liam pops out from the doors, walking over to us.

“What are you doing out here?” I ask, because that was the fastest dance in history. He laughs and pulls me to his chest, “You honestly thought I would dance with anyone who isn’t you tonight?” I smile but it’s quickly turned into a frown, “No, I don’t want that. I want you to have your moment.” I plead with him, and he just smiles reassuringly, “Angel, I’m going to be Alpha, I’ll have plenty of moments. This is one I’m not concerned about. I just want to be with you.” I hate that he’s missing this moment for me, but it’s not like I can force him back in there. Plus, I really didn’t want him to dance with Clara.

Wait, did he call me angel? Before I can think about it much, he’s pulled me into another sweet magical kiss. I’m lost in it, until he finally pulls away, breathless. “Okay angel, let’s get you back inside before I prove to all these boys that won’t take their eyes off you, just how much you are mine.” Is he suggesting what I think he is? He wouldn’t do that, not really, but it does send a thrill through me, to consider it. He looks back at me with a smirk, like he can read my mind, and pulls me back onto the dance floor.

I can see Clara and the she devils staring daggers at me from the corner where they’re huddled together and Dave walking through the crowd with the crown on his head, accepting all of the high fives for a crown he didn’t really win. I roll my eyes at the girls and turn towards Liam.

We dance the night away. I had honestly forgot we were in the school gym, surrounded by people who never cared about me. It’s exactly as Liam wanted, the night was magical. I night we’d never forget.

The after party was more of the same, just with people getting way more drunk and finally we were on our way home. Liam couldn’t keep his lips off of mine the entire ride home other than when Mia insisted we put our heads out of the top of the limo. When he carried me up to my room at three in the morning, his lips were still on
