Chapter 62

A few days later, and it’s time for Mia’s birthday! We’ve already decided to add some security to this party to make sure Clara isn’t able to come start drama. So, I’m actually looking forward to it now. My mom again agrees to let me skip my schoolwork, and as soon as I wake up, I start filling up the water balloons.
Dimitri walks inside the back door, he started acting like this is his home. I can’t say for sure, but I think him and my mom have something going on. It’s about time, I haven’t ever seen her with anyone. He looks at me and starts laughing, “What are you doing?” He asks, and I join in with him. “Just a bit of pre-party fun for Mia and the guys.” He smiles kindly as he grabs a bottle of water from the fridge.
“Those boys really seemed to like you two. Looked like you had a lot of fun at prom.” My face reddens, because he was here when Liam ‘dropped me off’ but didn’t leave until the next morning. I hide my face but nod to him. He comes closer to me, with his hand outstretched. I look up at him confused, “Let me help. This is going to take you forever.” He laughs and I hand him a couple bags of balloons, super grateful that he’s willing to help, because he’s right this is going to take forever. He leaves to find another faucet, leaving me to my thoughts.
It’s almost time for school to be over and Dimitri and I have set up over a thousand water balloons at different stations all around Liam’s yard. I tell Dimitri thank you, as he runs over to act like he’s guarding my house instead of across the street where I hide behind a tree and wait for all of them to start walking up to Liam’s
house.
I throw a balloon from my hiding spot behind a tree, and it hits Liam directly in the chest. I chuckle when all of them look up confused and Mia instantly starts running directly at me. I watch the boys smile once they see me, and they all instantly take their shirts off preparing for war. It quickly becomes girls’ verses boys.
The only advantage Mia and I have is that I know where all the balloons are, and the boys are scared to throw it too hard at me. So, many balloons are hitting me and not popping until they fall off me landing on the ground. Making me laugh a lot. Walker, Cole and Dallas have Mia trapped in a corner, and Liam has me in his sights. I laugh as I walk backwards away from him. He’s smirking with a water balloon in his hand because I wasn’t able to get to the bucket in time.
I slip on some wet grass and start to fall backwards and I see Liam’s face get scared as I fall. He goes to grab me, but ends up slipping too. I’m laughing, as he falls on top of me. He looks at me worried, then starts laughing with me. He puts his hand to my face and moves a strand of wet hair away from my face. I stop laughing, with the way he’s looking at me. He leans down and starts kissing me, which I return. I throw my arms around his neck and pull him closer to me. One of his hands goes down to my side pulling my body as close as possible to him. I can feel all of him right now, causing me to lose myself in this kiss. I groan quietly when he gently thrust his hips into my core. Usually, when we get to this point he pulls away. My whole body feels at his mercy right now. I slightly hear someone coming closer to us, but either I’m hearing things or Liam’s just as lost in this kiss as me, because he makes no move to get up. Next thing I know a giant bucket of water is poured over both of us.
