Chapter 86

I look up at my parents after Amy passes out, “What the fuck was that?” I yell at them. They both look frightened by what just happened, join the club. “If I had to guess, that was her wolf.” My dad answers, I look at them like he’s stupid. “Her wolf?” Dallas asks surprised. I nod, “I’ll explain it to you guys later.” I tell him and look back at my dad, “Her wolf? When was the last time you saw someones wolf do that?” I shout, waving my hand over Amy. “Again, it’s just a guess, but Amy is usually very calm tempered. She’s probably never experienced anger to that height before. My guess is that her wolf latched onto her anger, probably being very angry herself for being kept dormant all these years and her wolf was trying to break free. Even through the magic placed on her, from the necklace.” He explains, and I look down at her. I’ve seen Amy angry, but he’s right I’ve never seen her that angry. She could be pushed up against a locker and make a joke about it. I’ve never seen her yell like that before, not that I didn’t agree with everything she said, because I agree somebody should have told her, but it was like her anger was magnified.

I pick her up, throw one of my hoodies on her and wrap her up tightly in my blankets. We gave her a strong sleeping pill, made for wolves to get her to pass out. She should be asleep for awhile now. I look back at my parents, “Is this going to keep happening? Is her wolf going to keep trying to escape?” I ask, wanting to prepare myself. My dad shakes his head, “I don’t know son, but hopefully the rest will calm her down and she’ll wake up better. She’s just going to have to keep her anger under control. Granted, I don’t think it was all her anger. We also have to keep in mind who her father is. She got her wolf gene from her mother, but that doesn’t mean she didn’t get anything from him.” He looks over at Amy sadly. “What does that mean?” I ask, needing it spelled out for me to be sure I’m understanding him right. “I mean, some of his powers or hatred could have been transferred. It’s magic, his hatred for werewolves is magically bonded into him. I’m not saying it’s what happened, but it’s a possibility.” He explains, so he’s saying she could go crazy like the moon man.

I lay down next to her and pull her tightly to me. I tell Dallas to lay on the other side of her, because he always seems to be able to calm her down to. Maybe having both our scents close to her will help her pull through this. Then, I call everybody over.

They take in the scene, and already has questions, but I just stop them, and I start at the beginning. I don’t think Amy will mind me telling them everything, because hiding things is what got everybody in this mess in the first place and she takes comfort in all of us, just in different ways. Once I finish, they’re all looking lost.

Walker breaks the silence, “So, she’s been a wolf all this time and the necklace she’s wearing blocked out everything? We couldn’t even smell the difference.” I nod, then Dallas speaks, “But it kind of makes sense a little bit. I felt connected to her from the second she told that joke in the lunch line. You guys felt it once we hung out at the drive-in, Mia you stood by her through everything, taking a few beatings of your own at her expense, and Liam you’ve felt it since you were kids. We’ve all sensed she was special we just never understood it. This helps explain it more, we’ve all sensed her wolf in some form.” He explains, and we all take a minute to let it

sink in.

He’s right, we’ve all felt a pull towards her, that doesn’t normally happen with a human. “So, what now? Can she let her wolf out now that we all know, and her father knows where she is?” Cole asks, and then continues, “I mean, what would be the harm now?” I look down at Amy. Goddess, I’d love to see her wolf. “I don’t know, I’ll talk to my dad. I don’t want to risk anything.” I say, and they all nod in agreement.

Dallas and I watch her sleep all night, with the threat of the moon man and the threat of her waking up angry and in pain made it to where we weren’t willing to sleep. She’s still sleeping as the sun shines through behind the curtains. With everything she went through and learned last night she definitely needed to sleep.
