Nira’s POV:
The moment I stepped inside, I could feel the weight of history surrounding me.

The room was filled with rare manuscripts, oil paintings, porcelain pieces, and even a selection of fine jewelry. Every item had been carefully preserved, each one carrying its own
story.
Harrison stopped in front of a wooden rack and carefully lifted an oil painting, removing the protective cloth before turning to me. “Take a look at this. What do you notice?”
I stepped closer and studied it carefully.
Even without checking the signature, the brushwork alone made it clear that this was the work of a master. The strokes were confident, the composition deliberate, and the use of color carried a distinct personal style.
“This is from the Renaissance period,” I said with certainty. “The technique is refined, and the style is unmistakable.”
A flicker of surprise crossed Harrison’s face before he nodded in approval. “Exactly. This is The Smile of the Virgin Mary. I didn’t expect you to recognize it so quickly. Looks like you know your way around oil paintings too.”
I gave
him a small, knowing smile. “I actually own one of his later works, The Maid Pouring Coffee, and it’s in excellent condition.”
That caught him completely off guard.
Harrison’s eyes widened, and his voice carried a rare note of excitement. “You have The Maid Pouring Coffee?”
He shook his head in disbelief. “That piece disappeared over a hundred years ago. Rumor had it that it ended up with a private collector somewhere near the southwestern packs, and after that, it was never seen again. Collectors have been searching for it ever since. And you’re telling me it’s been with you this whole time?”
I hadn’t realized it meant that much to him. To me, it had simply been one of the many gifts my adoptive father gave me when I was younger.
Seeing how much it mattered to him, I made my decision without hesitation. “If you like it that much. I can give it to you. Consider it a thank–you gift for teaching me.”

He froze, then immediately shook his head. “No, I can’t accept that. It’s far too valuable.”
I met his refusal calmly. “Value depends on the person holding it. With me, it’s just part of a collection. With you, it actually means something. I think you’ll make better use of it.”
Kade stepped in, his tone relaxed but persuasive. “You should take it. She means it. And if it still feels like too much, let her choose something from your collection in return/
That shifted Harrison’s hesitation almost instantly.
He broke into a wide grin. “Now that’s a fair trade.”
He gestured for me to follow him deeper into the room. “Go ahead, take your time. If you see something you like, just say the word.”
He picked up a staff and held it out slightly. “This belonged to the first Alpha of Wildgust Pack, back before they disappeared from history.”
Then he reached for a ruby ring, but before he could explain, I smiled and spoke first. “I know that one. It was his Luna’s engagement ring.”
He looked at me, clearly delighted. “Exactly.”
As we moved through the collection, I found myself recognizing piece after piece. By the time we had gone through most of it, Harrison’s expression had shifted into open admiration, and he didn’t hide how proud he felt.
I simply smiled, saying nothing.
Most of what I knew came from my adoptive father. He had always intended to raise me into someone exceptional among Alpha heirs, someone who understood more than just power, until everything changed and I returned to Blazeborn Pack.
In the end, I chose the ruby ring.
The gemstone was vivid and brilliantly cut, set into a vintage gold band that balanced elegance with quiet strength.
Harrison nodded approvingly. “Good choice. The Alpha who designed that ring and his Luna were said to be fated mates. He made it for her himself, and she wore it her entire life. If you like it, it’s yours. Hopefully it brings you the same kind of love.”
I accepted it with a small smile. “Thank you.”
After we left the collection room, Harrison asked me to check on the manuscripts to see how
