“I don’t steal or lie. Unlike some people, who can’t come up with their own research so they just take credit for someone else’s.”
Eli’s face went pale. His eyes darted, panic setting in.
“You… what are you even talking about?!” he barked, voice shaky.
I didn’t need to say more. His reaction said everything.
Nolan cut in with a scoff, “Don’t waste your breath. She’s nuts. Always making up stories.”
I tilted my head and turned my attention to him, my voice sharp.
“And you,” I said coldly, “should probably worry less about me and more about what your fans would think if they knew the truth about you.”
His smirk faltered. Sweat started beading on his forehead.
“You… what do you know?” he asked, voice cracking.
I knew exactly what he’d done before he left the country. He’d gotten himself into trouble and ran off to lay low, thinking I’d be too out of the loop to find out.
They all still thought I was the same broken girl from years ago. A nobody without her wolf. What a joke.
I arched a brow and gave him a look that said, “Try me.”
Janice clearly couldn’t stand watching her two precious brothers get cornered by me.
“Nolan, Eli, come on. Don’t listen to her. She’s only been back for a few days. What could she possibly know? She probably just heard some gossip from the staff and started spinning her little stories.”
The two brothers looked at each other, then relaxed like they’d just realized they were being played.
“What the hell do you know?” Nolan sneered. “You’re not even a real Omega. If it weren’t for

“Seriously,” Eli said, full of disdain. “You really think being Kade’s mate makes you untouchable now? Walking around here like you own the place?”
Nolan smirked again, full of contempt. “Idiot.”
Eli laughed, backing him up. “Just wait. Once Kade wakes up and finds out his mate is a wolfless reject, he’ll tear up that bond before she even has a chance to say hi.”
I opened my mouth to respond, but just then, Reese walked in.
“Nolan, Eli. Beta Jett from the Howell estate is here.”
At the mention of Jett–the Beta of the Alpha King line–both brothers immediately straightened up.
No alpha from a weaker pack dared disrespect someone from Kade’s inner circle.
“What’s he doing here?” Eli asked, his voice lower now.
“Maybe he’s here to break off the engagement,” Janice whispered, just loud enough for everyone to hear.
Nolan and Eli exchanged glances, their excitement barely hidden.
“Bring him in!” Nolan said, grinning.
Jett entered shortly after, composed as always, Eli practically ran to greet him.
“Beta Jett, what a surprise. What brings you here personally today? Is there something we can help with?”
“Yeah, feel free to say whatever it is,” Nolan added, shooting me a smug glance, clearly itching to watch me get humiliated.
Jett looked at them both with a strange expression, then walked right past and came straight to
He stopped in front of me and said with genuine respect, “Miss Soren, if you’re free now. Mr. Howell asked me to escort you to the Howell estate.”

The second Jett finished speaking, the three Soren siblings froze. Their faces shifted instantly into a strange mix of shock, disbelief, and something else they couldn’t quite hide.
They clearly hadn’t expected this. Not only did Kade want to see me–the useless nobody they thought was beneath even the Omega maids–but he’d actually sent his personal Beta to come pick me up.
Janice stared at me like she wanted to rip my throat out, eyes burning with jealousy that was barely contained. If she could’ve shifted into her wolf right then and there, I had no doubt she would’ve pounced.
Nolan and Eli, who had just been laughing at me moments ago, now looked like someone had slapped them in the face, hard.
I stood up slowly, then turned to Jett and said, calm as ever, “Sure, I’m free. Let’s go.”
I didn’t even glance back at the three deranged idiots. I walked straight past them and headed
out.
Jett, sharp as ever, had probably sensed the weird tension between me and the Soren siblings the moment he stepped inside. He didn’t spare them a single glance. He just turned and followed me out.
Janice’s POV:
I was livid. That smug look on Nira’s face just now–if I could’ve handed my body over to my wolf in that moment, I would’ve torn her limb from limb.
Nolan was so pissed, he kicked over a chair. His whole face was twisted with rage. “What kind of seduction trick did Nira pull to get Mr. Howell to pay attention to her?!”
Eli shrugged, unconcerned. “Relax. Maybe he’s just summoning her to officially break off the bond arrangement.”
“Exactly,” Nolan agreed. “Mr. Howell could have any elite she wants. No way he’d be interested in a wolfless loser like her.”
I stood there, trembling. My broken nail stung like hell, but it was nothing compared to the hate burning in my chest.
