Chapter 192 Medicine for Kade
Nira’s POV:
When I pushed open the door to his office and stepped inside, Kade just froze, staring at me for à beat.

After a long pause, he finally broke the silence, his voice low. “I thought you were at the hospital… taking care of Damian.”
I pulled out a chair and sank into it. “Valerie showed up,” I explained. “Since she’s Damian’s sister, she’s a much better fit for the job than I am.”
“Oh.” Even so, Kade didn’t look like he was in a great mood.
I got the feeling he was still stewing over the fact that I’d been so worried about Damian earlier that i’d kind of brushed off how he felt. Not that I could blame him, really. He was the honored Alpha King heir, after all. He was used to being the center of attention.
Thinking back to the little setup I’d orchestrated back at the hospital, I looked up at him and decided to apologize first. “Kade, I’m sorry.”
“What?” Kade blinked, looking completely lost. “Why are you apologizing all of a sudden?”
I batted my eyelashes, giving him a cheeky grin. “It slipped out that you were at the hospital. Valerie heard about it and rushed over right away.”
Kade stared at me for a second, then threw his head back and laughed a genuine, full belly laugh.
He nodded, agreeing with the logic. “Valerie is Damian’s sister. She really is the best person to look after him.”
“Damian got hurt saving me, though,” I continued. “I still need to go over every couple of days to check on him and change his dressings. Can you handle the head coach for me regarding the team stuff?”
“Sure. I’ll come with you,” Kade said after thinking it over for a moment. “After you’re done treating him, I’ll drive you back to the training camp.”
I didn’t argue. I reached into my bag and pulled out a package, handing it to him. “Here are the medicines for next month’s auction.”
Kade opened one of the boxes. The pills inside were round and a deep, rich brown, and a pungent herbal

“This is Moonweal Tincture,” I explained, picking up one of the boxes to inspect it. “Regular over–the–counter treatments barely work on the severe injuries high–ranked wolves sustain. But if you use this in conjunction with standard care, the recovery time speeds up by at least three times. I found this special herb last time I went searching for the Moonvein Bloom.”
Kade’s eyes lit up with surprise as he gripped the box tighter. “Nira, this special herb you’re talking about… can it be cultivated artificially?”
I assumed he wanted to mass–produce Moonweal Tincture. “Yeah, it can be. But this herb grows deep in the mountains where it naturally absorbs enough lunar energy. Artificial cultivation would require a very specific environment and controlled conditions. Plus, the potency might be slightly lower than the wild version.”
Seeing the flicker of disappointment in his eyes, I added. “But if you can pull it off, yeah, it would solve the scarcity issue, and you could produce a lot of it.”

Kade shook his head, his expression turning serious. “I’m not planning to put this medicine on the market.”
“Why?” I asked, genuinely confused..

Kade didn’t explain right away. Instead, he made me an offer. “I’ll buy all of these from you. We’ll split the profit just like we agreed before. I won’t let you get the short end of the stick.”
I had no clue what Kade was plotting, but I agreed anyway, “Okay. We’ll do it your way.”
Kade tucked the medicine away safely in his desk. “A friend of mine really needs this kind of treatment right now. If you could figure out how to artificially grow that herb, it would be a lifesaver for him.”
Realization dawned on me. My eyes darted around for a second before it clicked exactly what he was getting at.
I didn’t pry for details, though. I just offered a small smile and said, “I do have a proprietary method for growing herbs. If you end up needing it, we can discuss the price.”
Kade looked at me, clearly pleasantly surprised. “Deal. If I need it, I won’t let you get cheated.”
I grabbed my bag and stood up. “I trust you.”
Kade came out from behind his desk. “Are you heading back to the training camp now? Want to ride together?”
“Sure.”
After he dropped me off at the training camp, I rushed straight to the hospital to treat Damian without stopping.

Damian’s POV:
I was happy that Nira had come, but Kade showing up every single time like a bad penny just got on my nerves.
Throughout my hospital stay, Nira came every couple of days for follow–up treatments.
If it meant spending more time with her, I would have been perfectly fine staying sick forever.
Unfortunately, Nira knew her craft too well. I didn’t even get a chance to fake being ill.
She finished the follow–up treatment smoothly and announced, “With how you’re healing, you can be discharged tomorrow.
Hearing that, my stomach dropped. But I kept a calm, polite smile on my face. “That’s great news. Thanks to your treatment, F healed so fast.”
Nira packed up her specialized medical tools, then looked up to give me her instructions. “Your injury is healing well. The internal bruising is mostly gone, too. Just keep taking the medicine I gave you on schedule and stick to light exercise, and you’ll make a recovery.”
I nodded obediently. I didn’t tell her that my wolf had actually come out of its dormant phase yesterday, meaning my body had already healed completely. I just didn’t want to give up these moments with her.
I knew that once i was discharged, I wouldn’t get to see her this often anymore.
“Nira, thank you for everything these past couple of weeks,” I said, being completely sincere. “Once I’m fully recovered, let me take
