The fight flipped in an instant.
Heavy machine guns roased from the Blood Wolf’s wehicles, mowing down Dendo’s men like grass.
In under ten minutes, the remaining raiders threw down their weapons and surrendered.

After barking the order, she turned back to me, her voice full of urgency. “What else do you need? Surgical instruments? Plasma?”
I rattled off a list of supplies, and Natalie immediately grabbed a satellite phone, calling in a chopper for a fast drop.
We fell into a smooth rhythm getting Kade stabilized, blocking out everything else around us.
“Hey! Anybody gonna cut me loose? I’m still tied up here!”
Desmond’s voice rang out from where he was still bound to a post, wriggling for attention. Only then did I notice him.
I apologized quickly and had someone untie him.
Then I turned all my focus to operating on Kade inside the medical tent.
