The next morning. Vera arrived at the main Soren estate under the pretense of delivering a custom gown from Emberhall Atelier. Using that opportunity, she met Evelyn and, following Nira’s instructions, carefully steered the conversation where it needed to go.

Later, when Damon went to see the head of the Soren family, Garrick Soren, to ask for help getting through his current crisis, Garrick’s attitude had completely changed.

Where he had previously shown signs of agreement, he now kept things vague, offering no clear answer.

Instead of facing the consequences, they allegedly manipulated the situation, found someone else to take the fall, and quietly left their pack to let the whole thing fade away.

But ClueHollow remained deliberately silent, offering no additional details, only dropping occasional cryptic replies that kept the discussion alive and growing.

Early that morning, Nira scrolled through several articles, a satisfied look crossing her face before she set her phone aside and stopped paying attention.

At the Soren breakfast table, the atmosphere felt noticeably tense.

Janice, still punished from the night before, looked downcast and quiet.

Nolan, on the other hand, seemed distracted, barely present. Jenna called his name several times before he finally reacted, earning a sharp look from her.

“Nolan, what’s going on with you? I’ve called you multiple times.”

He snapped back to reality and quickly covered, “I didn’t sleep well last night. Just zoned out.”

Jenna’s expression softened immediately, concern replacing irritation. “You need to stop staying up so late going over scripts. Take better care of yourself.”

“Yeah, I know,” Nolan replied, brushing it off.

“Wait, at least finish your breakfast” Jenna started, but he was already gone.

Nira watched his hurried figure disappear through the doorway, the corner of her lips lifting slightly.

Right on time.

Nolan rushed to meet his manager, anxiety burning through him. The moment he saw him, the frustration he’d been holding back finally erupted.

“You told me everything was taken care of,” he snapped, his fangs showing. “So what is that leak from last night?”

His manager looked just as anxious and immediately swore, “Nolan, everything back then was handled properly. The person who took the blame is still in prison and has never changed his statement. He insists he did it, and this has nothing to do with you. The victim died on the spot, and there were no witnesses. I’m certain that post isn’t about you.”

Nolan frowned and paced back and forth, but the unease in his chest didn’t fade.

Seeing that, the manager quickly added, “People are only mentioning you because of the last name. I already had PR step in and push the narrative that you weren’t even in Blazeborn Pack at the time. There’s no connection.”

Nolan stopped and looked at him. “You’re sure there are no loose ends?”

The manager nodded firmly. “I’m sure. There are plenty of celebrities with ‘S‘ last names. People are just guessing. This will die down soon.”

Only then did Nolan finally let out a long breath, some of the tension easing from his shoulders. “It better. Keep an eye on it. If

anything changes, I want to know immediately.”

“Of course,” the manager said quickly.
