“Ray, are you sure that you want to go out and meet Logan? Your psycho lover is after you like a phantom. What if he sees you with Logan again. I am worried about your safety, my child.” My mother tried to stop me for the millionth time.
I picked my handbag and phone.
“No, Mom. I don’t think I can live like this forever. Riccardo had made my life a living hell for three years and only Logan can protect me from a monster like him. I have to win him at any cost, Mom.”
My mother found out about Riccardo the night he barged at my apartment and I had to lie to my mother. I portrayed myself a victim to save myself.
Knowing my ambitious parents, they’d definitely try to pair me with Riccardo when they got to know that he was also very rich.
But I only loved Logan Wilferd, he was my obsession.
“Ray, I only want the best for you and whatever you told me about Riccardo and his line of work, I am scared. He could hurt us if you don’t stop chasing Logan.” She followed me out of our house.
I took a deep breath and faced her. She was pissing me off at this point but I had to pretend to be good and naïve.
“Mom, I will be fine. Please, let me try for this last time. I swear if Logan tries to avoid me, I will sue him in the court for the custody of my son. He can’t fool me around like this.” I said.
I knew it could convince her.
“Alright, if you want to try again then I won’t stop you but please, be careful. You are my only child. I don’t want anything to happen to you.‘ She patted my cheek and left.
I exhaled deeply and drove to Logan’s house. If I’d not find him then Tessa would be there. I made up my mind to confront both of them.
When I reached at their house, the gatekeepers told me that they couldn’t allow me to enter inside because they had received strict orders from Tessa to not let anyone walk into their house whose name wasn’t listed in the access list.
It infuriated me to another level. I felt humiliated because once, I used to be the owner of this house. Tessa wanted me gone from his life forever and it seemed that she was succeeding.
“Do you know where can I meet my cousin?” I asked the guard as he knew me.
“I am sorry, Ma’am but I can’t reveal it nor I know where they have gone.” He shook his head.
“Trust me, I won’t reveal that you told me where they’ve gone.” I said and secretly passed a bundle of

cash towards him.
His eyes sparkled seeing the money.
“I have heard them talking yesterday that they were going to visit their parents‘ house. Perhaps, they have gone to meet them today because they took the kids with them as well.” He spilled the beans.
“Kids?” I frowned.
“Yes, they also took Master Lucas and-” Rest of his words died in his throat when another guard walked towards us.
I hurriedly got inside my car and drove away from there.
What did he mean?
I drove in the direction of Wilferd’s residence. If I’d find them there, it would be better for me because I knew deep down Logan cared for me. If his family would misbehave with me, he would feel bad and it
could work between us.
It was a wild shot but I wanted to do everything in my capacities to win him.
