PART–138
Logan
“Sir, please, sign these documents so I can send them to our lawyers for further progress.” My secretory placed a stack of files in front of me.
“Do you need them today?” I asked.
“Yes, Sir. The court will open on Monday then. Don’t worry, I have personally reviewed them. You don’t need to read them all again.” He said.
“You know I don’t sign any paper before reading them. You can submit them on Monday because it’s impossible to finish all these papers today.” I said.
“Okay, Sir.” He nodded.
“You may leave now.” I dismissed him and he disappeared in the next moment.
But he came back five minutes later as I ignored the intercom.
“Sir, Mr. Felix and a lady are here to see you. shall I send them inside?” He asked in a hesitated tone.
He had started working for me less than six months ago.
I sighed and leaned back on his chair.
Felix must have come with his wife. If he was alone, I would have stopped him but I couldn’t do it to Amanda
“Okay, send them inside.” I said and closed the file that I just opened to review.
A minute later, the door opened again and Felix walked in. But to my surprise, it wasn’t Amanda but Ashley with her. I had met her a week ago in the party.
“Good afternoon, boss.” Felix bowed dramatically.
“I am sorry, Mr. Wilferd if I intruded your privacy. Felix asked me to tag along.” Ashley greeted me.
“It’s fine, Ms. Steller. My cousin has a habit to invade people’s privacy when they are at work.” I mocked my cousin who looked totally unbothered by my remark.
“Please, make yourself comfortable.” I offered her politely.
“Logan, we come here to discuss business with you.” He said.
I looked between them.
“What kind of business?” I asked.
He sighed and leaned forward, “Ashley is the managing director of her father’s company and we have learned that you are about to sign a deal with him, is it true?”
“Yes, why?”
“Mr. Wilferd, last time we met during a celebration so I thought discussing business there wasn’t fair Ashley spoke this time.
“Ms. Steller, come to the point of this whole conversation
33 I said to cut the chase.
She smacked her lips. She looked different from the party. Dressed in a grey work suit and confidence on her face, she lookest
more mature.
“I think the deal that you’re offering, it might keep us at loss mean the revenue split is my concern.” She spoke.

“Ms. Steller, I think I was clear about it with your father who gave his written consent. I can send you a copy.” I said in my business mode.
“He doesn’t know what I come here. He is a good businessman and built a company of billion dollars in less than three decades‘ time but my research says opposite about this deal. Please, reconsider the revenue share split.” She said.
Although, she was right but as a businessman, I had to think about my own profit first.
“I think this could be discussed in a formal meeting with both your father and I on the same table.” I responded.
I saw disappointment flashing on her face.
“Logan, her father is an old–fashioned man you know. Although, Ashley is on a high position in his company and soon she’ll take it over, he still thinks he can make better decisions than anyone else, including his own daughter. This is the reason why Amanda resigned from their company.”
Felix explained me.
