“Mrs. Wilferd, is there any issue at your house? Please, don’t get me wrong but what Lucas did today, it was shocking for all of us. He’s such a good kid o behaves well but today he aggressively pushed his classmate and also punched him.”
Lucas‘ teacher told me something very disturbing and also concerning about him.
“I am sorry that he behaved in a wrong way. I’ll also apologize to the boy’s parents but may I know what triggered my son to react in a way which wasn’t his behaviour. He’s a sweet boy.” I demanded a clear explanation because it was something I never wanted for my son.
“We don’t know because Lucas has been quiet ever since he hit the boy.” She shook her head.
“Can you call him here? I want to ask him myself. Trust me, I won’t be biased.” I said.
“Sure, but if possible, call his father here as well because when we tried to contact him, his PA said that he’s busy at this moment.” The teacher said.
“Logan is actually very busy today but I’ll drop a message to him. Meanwhile, we can try to sort this matter.” I said with clasped hands.
“Okay, I am calling Lucas and the other boy, Jason here. His parents are on the way. Let me tell you, this isn’t going to be easy for you because Jason’s parents are famous lawyers and not so very friendly and understanding people.” She warned me.
I sighed and nodded my head.
A minute later, Lucas and the other boy were brought in there. Lucas had his head lowered but when he
saw me, he immediately ran to me and hugged me tightly.
“Mommy..” He whispered, his voice on the verge of breaking.
“Yes, it’s okay. I am here.” I rubbed his back affectionately.
Once he calmed down a bit, I made him sit beside me and wiped his face.
“Luke, your teacher told me that you pushed him.” I asked him softly pointing my finger at the other boy who was glaring my son.
Lucas lowered his gaze.
“I am sorry, Mommy but he said mean things about you.” He said.
I was shocked and looked over at the boy.
“Lucas doesn’t lie. May I ask him what he said about me?” I asked the teacher but my eyes were on the boy.

“You can’t bully my son because we’re going to sue you and teach your son a good lesson. He doesn’t deserve to be in the same school as other kids.” A couple barged into the room.
The woman’s harsh voice startled us but I quickly composed myself.
“Excuse me but I think you should ask your own ild what he speaks about other kids‘ mothers?‘ I crossed my arms.
“Mrs. Wilferd, I know your husband and I am well aware that you donate a good amount to the school fund every year but I am a lawyer and my son got bullied in this school. Your son attacked my child. He is a threat.” The man in a suit spoke in a haughty manner.
My blood boiled.
“Alright, Mr. lawyer, if you don’t understand a civil language then let me make it clear in simple language.” I pushed my terrified son behind me to shield him from mean people.
“Watch your words, Mrs. Wilferd.” The man tried to dominate me.
“Your son said mean things about me. So, as a lawyer you should better know how to dig truth. Ask your son what he said that triggered my son. Only then, we’ll apologize.” I said firmly.
I wasn’t going to back away.
“Jason said that my Mommy is a bad woman and she will leave soon because my Dad has a girlfriend now.” Lucas said without fear.
There was a pin drop silence in the air.
The boy’s mother looked familiar when I narrowed my eyes at her pale face and suddenly, I remembered, she was one of Raelynn’s friends and it didn’t take me another second to guess how Jason learnt such inappropriate things.
“He is lying! My son can never talk in such a bad way.” Beatrice, the woman defended her son.
