PART–051
Tessa
“Logan, what are you saying? This is absurd. I can’t accept it.” I shook my head in denial.
Whatever was going in his mind, I had to safeguard my feelings because I had no strength left inside me to keep fighting.
“I could have said the same when you asked me for two weeks‘ time but I respected your wish and let you stay with Lucas otherwise we’d be divorced by now.” He said.
I was tongue tied because he was right. My wish was also illogical because two weeks would change anything but I wanted to spend some more time with Lucas.
I had no idea why he wanted me to stay home and be a wife to him, I had to play it safe.
It was my heart on stake.
Again.
“Tessa, it won’t be tough for you since you have been my wife in every way. I am not asking you to bring
moon for me.” He added.
“It was in the past when I was living on your money, Logan. Now, I have a job and work commitments. I am sure there are maids in the house or you can hire a professional nurse to take care of you. It’d be best if you bring Raelynn here. I can’t agree to this.” I shook my head.
I wasn’t going to give in so easily if he thought I’d melt by his soft words.
“You know me better than anyone else, Tessa. I don’t feel comfortable when someone else do my work for me. I do it myself or in past three years, it has been you whom I allowed to touch my personal belongings.” He said.\
My stomach flipped. It was true. Ever since we got married, I used to do every small thing for him. He never let the house staff touch his stuffs.
“And what about taking a bath? Do you really think it’s appropriate if I ask house staff to clean my body?”
I cringed because it was rather very inappropriate and unimaginable.
“Raelynn can do it. I am sure she’ll do it happily.” I came up with the solution and his dark eyes met mine.
“And you’ll be okay with that? Answer me with the honesty of your heart and mind, Tessa.”
I remained silent because the mere thought of Raelynn touching him intimately burnt my heart with jealousy.
“You can’t see someone else touch me, Tessa. Just admit it and be a good wife.” He had a smug look on his face that I wanted to scratch because my expressions gave in front of him.

“Still, I have work and I don’t think I’ll be free even for a day.” I used my job as an excuse to win this.
“I talked to your assistant and she said that your main job is done and even if you work from home for a few days or will be gone for a couple of hours, it’ll be okay.” Logan smirked when my eyes widened.
“What the hell! You sneaked into my private life? I never meddle in your professional life.” I yelled.
“I didn’t meddle in your work, Tessa. I just asked her if you could stay home to spend some your injured husband, she said it’s fine because it can be managed.”
My jaws hung low in shock because it wasn’t like the typical Logan Wilferd whom I had known.
Where was the calm, composed and introvert man whom I married.
He became more talkative and whiny like Lucas.
It seemed I had no escape from this situation because I didn’t want people at my workplace to gossip about my married life.
“Fine.”
I sighed and then matched his gaze.
I couldn’t miss the faint smile that tucked on the corner of his lips, one of the rarest sight which made my heart flutter.
“Then come and help me to lay down in a comfortable position. Felix did a terrible job.” He demanded.
I shook my head and went to his side of the bed to help him. The sooner I adjusted his pillow, the sooner I could get of out there because the battle inside me was intensifying with passing moments.
I leaned down to adjust his pillows, our faces were very close. It was very hard for me to avoid looking at his face. Trying my best to act normal when I held his shoulders to help him lay down, I found the task more challenging because he was a heavy man.
“Tessa…please, easy.” He winced when I accidentally put pressure on his splint.
“I am sorry but you’re too heavy for me to move so cooperate.” I apologized because no matter how mad I was at him, I couldn’t think of hurting him physically.
“It’s fine. I just want you to be gentle with me.” He said softly.
I lowered my gaze and with caution, I adjusted the pillows and covered him with blanket.
“Be careful in your sleep because no one will be around to help you.” I advised him as I prepared to leave his room.
“Where are you going?” He frowned at me.
