PART–062
Tessa
Waking up with morning sickness was new to me.
The urge to throw up forced me to wake up earlier than usual but what I found strange was Logan had already woken up.
He left a note for me at the bedside table stating that he was gone for running. It saved my secret because he’d surely bug me if he had seen me vomiting.
I prepared a cup of herbal tea to help with the dizziness and nausea and walked out of the house to witness sunrise.
The wind was stronger. The waves clashing against one another was a sight to behold. I replayed the scenes from the last night. Logan shifted Lucas on his place and secured the edge with a heap of pillow.
He wanted to sleep with me. Embracing me in his arms, he caressed my hairs until I fell into a peaceful sleep but now, I was forced to think.
His words and actions contradict. He didn’t give me a chance to process what he actually felt
for me.
“Good morning.”
Logan appeared into my sight. His face was sweaty after all the exercise he had done.
“Good morning.” I wished him back and finished my tea.
“Have you switched to tea from your favourite coffee?” He pointed on my cup.
“Yes, a few changes in lifestyle can bring good outcomes. So, no more coffee in the morning and no alcohol.” I replied.
“Good thought but consistency is what makes it worth.” He followed me inside the house.
Lucas was still sleeping so I decided to take a shower first. Luckily, the house had multiple bathrooms.
“I’ll prepare the breakfast.” He said.
“No, it’s fine. I can cook the breakfast or I’ll get bored.” I objected because I had to make something I could eat without throwing up.
“Tessa, you don’t cook often either and I want you to relax on this trip. I insist, let me cook for you and Lucas.” Logan said thoughtfully.
I won’t lie, his efforts really touched my heart.

“Okay, just don’t burn down the kitchen.” I joked and went to take a shower.
I wore a cotton dress as the weather was humid.
“Mommy, you look pretty.” Lucas‘ cheerful voice forced me to turn and look down at my little admirer.
“Thank you, my prince. You’ll also be a handsome man in your prime age.” I smiled.
“Will I have a beautiful girlfriend like you, Mommy?” He asked me with a grin.
“Lucas,
where did you get this idea?” I softly reprimanded him.
“Daddy has you. The heroes have beautiful girlfriends. So, I also want a beautiful girl like you when I grow up.” He replied.
“You’ll meet the prettiest girl and fall in love with her, my son.” I laughed.
“But you’re the prettiest.” He said, for him I was his everything.
It melted my heart.
“What you both are talking about?” Logan entered the room.
He was wearing an apron which gave him a more handsome look in a strange way.
“Is Mommy the prettiest girl in the world, Dad?” Lucas asked his father.
Logan’s gaze found my face. The intensity made me blush.
“Yes, your mother is the most beautiful woman this world.” Logan said looking down at his
son.
I wondered if it was for me or Lucas‘ biological mother.
“Lucas go and brush your teeth. We have many plans for today. Go hurry up.” I instructed the little man who didn’t need to be told twice.
Once he rushed to the bathroom, I faced his father.
“You should take a shower as well. I’ll go and prepare your coffee.” I said and about to walk past him but my breath caught in my lungs when he grabbed my wrist.
“You forgot something.” He said in a raspy voice
My breathing got shallow when he closed the gap between us and opened my hairs.
“You look prettier with your long hairs open.” He whispered and let go of me.
Unable to stand the intensity of his actions, I rushed out of the room.
My cheeks heated up. My heart was pounding wildly.
