PART–064
Logan
“Raelynn, what is it? You said you met an accident but you look fine, not even a single scratch on your body.”
My frustration reached at peak when I saw Raelynn standing in front of me with a wide smile.
“I am sorry, Logan. If I hadn’t lied about an accident you would never come to see me.” She pouted but it didn’t work on me.
“I cut short a trip and lied to Tessa so I could pay you a visit. You made me worried for nothing, Ray. Do you really think such excuses are taken lightly?” I scolded her because the way she called me in the morning saying she fell from the stairs and hurt herself badly, it made me really worried.
But it turned out that she used the excuse to call me to her house.
It augmented my frustration over her childishness.
I felt guilty of ditching my family. Lying to Tessa weighed on my heart because I could simply tell her the truth but her happy mood after days forced me to keep silent and use work as an excuse to pay Raelynn a visit.
sorry, Logan. Please, don’t be mad at me. I lied to you because there was no way to see you. I miss you so much. I want to
you and Lucas.” Raelynn said in a low voice.
showed sadness which calmed me a little but it didn’t change the fact that her plan was absolutely wrong.
disappointed face danced in front of my eyes.
d Tessa told Lucas everything.” I told her because she had right to know.
Her brows furrowed for a moment before her pupils widened.
“You mean you told him that Tessa isn’t his mother but I am?” She asked in an excited tone and I only gave her a simple nod.
“Oh My God! Logan, I am so happy.” Raelynn hugged me out of excitement.
I hesitantly wrapped my arms around her but not tightly.
“I can’t wait to meet my son. He can finally recognize me as his mother.” Raelynn’s happiness could be felt in her words.
“Raelynn, even if we have told him the truth, Lucas is still trying to process this new discovery. Please, let’s give him some time.” I requested her.
Her smile dropped and replaced by a displeased look.
“Logan, for how long? It’s been over a month, you asked me for two weeks‘ time and I agreed but you keep delaying your divorce. Why can’t you understand that I want to be with you and Lucas? We’re a family. My cousin is just an imposter.”
The way Raelynn insulted Tessa, I didn’t like it.
“She wasn’t an imposter. My parents and your uncle fixed the marriage between us and she never gave me a chance to question her dedication towards Lucas. Our son has grown into a good kid, the credit only goes to Tessa.” I defended my wife.
What was this shift in me?”
“Logan, you are defending her like I have said something horrible about her. Don’t tell me that you have developed feelings for her over the time?” She narrowed her eyes.
“Ray, let’s not do this again because I am drained out. I am tired of this blame game. Either it’s you or Tessa, I am tired of justifying my actions to both of you.” I let out my frustration.
“Then divorce her and end this. The solution is always in front of you.” She said.

“I can’t until my father recovers, Ray.”
“Or you have changed your mind, Logan. You don’t want to divorce her anymore because you have feelings for your wife.”
Her words felt like a splash of icy cold water on my face. Was she saying the truth?
Was I running from the truth that I had known for a long time?
“Your silence says a lot, Logan. I think you should go home now. We can talk when you’ll have a clear mind and a decision.” She said and walked away leaving me alone to fight my mind and heart simultaneously.
Sighing, I drove back home. My mind was occupied with the same uncertainty.
