“Tired?”

“Yes, my muscles are aching and my stomach is grumbling for food.” I grinned and stretched my arms as I felt stiffened.

“Here’s your favourite mango tart, chicken wings and stir fried rice noodles.”

“Thank you so much, Auntie. How can you know what I want to eat.” My mouth watered seeing the delicious food served in front of me.

“Because I have given birth to four kids and I know how women crave for different but same food all the time. Now, eat. Your baby needs nourishment.” My aunt said indicating at my protruding belly.

I looked down at my swollen belly and roamed my hand to feel the life growing inside me.

“I can’t wait for the day when my grand niece will come into this beautiful world and I can take care of her.” My aunt said.

As much as the thought of holding my baby in two weeks‘ time thrilled me, I felt sad.

My baby wouldn’t have her father or brother by her side.

The feeling of having a life inside me was unexplainable but the kid who made me familiar with the feeling of motherhood, I missed him.

I missed Lucas terribly every day.

“Don’t blame yourself, Tessa. Your husband’s actions forced you to leave everything behind. Lucas has a family with him whereas you’re all alone here.” My aunt rubbed my shoulder.

She had a point but it didn’t stop me from remembering Lucas.

“Tessa, if you really can’t move on from them then I advise you to contact your husband because I don’t see any news of him getting back to your cousin yet.” She said but I shook my head negatively.

“No, Auntie. I am not going back to the same cycle of pain. He’s with Raelynn. He might not make it official to the world but it’s not a secret either. You can see how she posts about their daily life. I want to start a new life with my baby.” I said placing a hand over my belly,

“Tessa, you’re an adult and soon you’ll be a mother. I hope you’ll get all your happiness and I am with you in every decision.” She caressed my hairs.

“Thanks, Auntie for keeping my stay a secret from everyone.” I expressed my gratitude for my aunt who kept my location a secret from everyone in Wilferd and Cowper family.

Only Adrian and Ruby knew about my location because I hadn’t stopped working. I work from home and whenever necessary, I paid a very secret visit to the company.

Adrian made sure that no one would ever leak the news to Logan.

He supported me in my decision and after the birth of my baby, I decided to settle in France just like I planned earlier.

The far stretched fields and friendly neighbourhood helped me with the mental therapy I needed.

My Aunt took great care of me and the baby growing inside me.

She always made feel her presence by kicking me frequently.

She was growing healthy and it had relieved me a little.
