PART- 077
Logan
“Logan, can we talk? I hope you’re not very busy today.”
I sighed and rubbed my temples as I read Raelynn’s text. It had been three days since I visited her place and tried telling her about Tessa but I had to leave abruptly.
Since then, I was either busy in work or spending time with Lena. I couldn’t any chance to be with my new bom daughter. I didn’t want to leave her sight whenever I was free but I only get limited time with her.
I had to find a way soon to bring her and Tessa back home. I was tired of living this dual life.
“Logan, don’t think much. If your mind is very clear now, then go and end things with Raelynn. I am sure then Tessa will forgive you.” Felix advised me.
I turned my head in my cousin’s direction who picked me from Tessa’s place as I sent my driver home.
“I am meeting her tomorrow. I hope she takes it well because I have a daughter now. Lucas has accepted Tessa as his mother. I can give Raelynn the parental rights to meet him whenever she wants but I think I have to focus on my marriage.” I finally spoke with honesty.
“Have you fallen in love with your wife or it is only the obligation you feel towards her?” Felix asked.
“What kind of question is this? Aren’t you the one who have been pestering me to save my marriage and break up with Raelynn?” I raised my brow at my cousin.
“I do not you to choose your present over your past but at the same time I want you to do only if you love your wife.”
Only if I love my wife.
This question resonated in my mind.
“Do you love Tessa?”
“I don’t know about love but I like her.” I confessed.
The attraction I felt towards Tessa since the first day of our marriage, it only grew stronger with passing time. She became an integral part of my existence which I only realized when she left me.
Those months helped me with self–reflection.
“If I was a film–maker, I would have made a movie on your sucked life, my dear cousin.” Felix smirked only to earn a hard glare
from me.
“Lucas is staying with Tessa overnight but she kicked you out. That’s hilarious.” Felix added.
“Stop the car. I can hail a cab from here if you can’t keep quiet.” I said because his realistic comments were embarrassing me.
“Okay, okay, I won’t tease you anymore.” He raised his hands in surrender motion.
I read the text again. Ignoring Raelynn longer would only complicate things for me. So, I typed and replied my answer.
“I haven’t forgotten about our lunch. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
She instantly read it.
“Okay. I hope you won’t forget your promise this time.” Came her reply.
I fished my phone back into my pocket.
PART 077

Felix dropped me at my house. It felt so cold and empty.
I didn’t want to live there even for a minute. The loneliness haunted me and I realized what I would lose if I make a wrong choice.
A family makes a house home.
In that moment I felt the difference between a house and a home.
The night felt very long because I kept thinking about my family and evaluating my own feelings.
Next morning, I couldn’t wait any longer to meet my family so I went to Tessa’s apartment in the morning with the excuse of picking Lucas.
“Good morning, Sir. Please, come inside.” The maid opened the door and I walked inside.
The warm feeling of being at home filled me.
“Dad, you brought breakfast for me?” Lucas was the first one to notice my presence.
