PART- 085
Tessa
“Your room is as you left. We haven’t made any changes but the room isn’t the one you lived but a different room.” Logan said.
“I don’t need one. I can live anywhere.” I replied nonchalantly.
“But I want you to be comfortable and the room I arranged for you, it’s bigger, the second master bedroom.” He told me.
We had four master bedroom in the house. When he asked me to move out of his room, I chose a small one beside Lucas’s. Honestly, it wasn’t big or airy but built with the purpose of using as a storage room.
The car ride from hospital to his house was filled with silence but I could observe that Logan looked calmed and relaxed. He smiled often whenever he glanced at our daughter whom he secured in a car seat between us.
Nostalgia hit me when the house I once left and vowed never to return, came into my view.
I lived there for almost four years and saw many ups and downs.
When the car stopped, I saw all the house staff and guards gathering around the car. They looked happy.
“Welcome home, Madam. We were counting minutes ever since Mr. Wilferd told us that you’ll come home with the small Ms. Wilferd.” Kelly was the one to approach me first and others also greeted me.
I was overwhelmed with their warm welcome.
“Kelly, is the nursery ready and everything that Tessa may need?” Logan asked the staff.
“Yes, Sir. Everything is arranged. If Madam needs anything, we’ll bring it right away.” Kelly said with eagerness, The house was quiet and cold without you but now it’ll be a home again.”
I smiled in response because I wasn’t sure if the things would go back to what they used to be. I wasn’t planning to live there for a long time.
Logan was holding Lena even when the maids offered to help but he refused.
“I have prepared a temporary nursery for Lena but once you’ll be recovered, we can redesign it according to her growth and liking.” Logan said as he opened a door beside the second master bedroom.
“It’s unnecessary because Lena is still too small to feel anything and I don’t think I’ll be living here for a long time.” I replied with honesty.
He didn’t say anything but I could see disappointment flashed on his face.
He placed Lena into her new cradle and the baby squealed when she saw the toy hanging.
“I have turned on the baby monitor but a maid will be here with Lena permanently so you can rest without worrying for her.” He said and led us out of the cute nursery.
I couldn’t lie. He paid attention to every detail what a baby would need. However, I couldn’t praise him on face. I didn’t want him to harbour false hope.
He led me to the room he had given to me. I was on a wheelchair so it was easier for me to move.
“This is your room. The one you always joked that you’d occupy but we lived in the same room.” He said.

“Doesn’t matter to me. I could live anywhere because life doesn’t give me options to choose. Not everyone is born with privileges.” I replied satirically.
“I agree that you’re not born with privileges but you have options and I want you to choose them.” He said and helped me to get on the bed.
I was silent because there were a lot of unsaid things between us.
“My Dad is coming to meet Lena and you in the evening.” He informed.
I nodded my head but suddenly, something popped in my mind.
“And your Mom and Lea?”
“They won’t come. I told them not to bother you because you need to rest both physically and mentally.” He replied instantly.
“I am sorry but they can only blame me and it won’t end.” I said.
