PART–096
Tessa
“You should go home, Tessa. Exhaustion is clearly written on your face and I don’t want you to fall sick when I am not able to look after you.”
“You never babysit me so save it and look at yourself.” I rolled my eyes and adjusted his bed once he finished his breakfast which was a liquid porridge.
“How is Garry’s family?” He asked me in a low voice.
“I met his mother and wife yesterday. They’re devastated but I have assured them that we’ll take care of their family.” I said.
“I can’t believe how did it happen. He was driving on a normal speed but all of a sudden a speedy tanker came from the other side and then it happened so fast.” He spoke.
I looked up at him.
“Logan, do you think that someone tried to kill you? I mean how could a random tanker came and hit you when the road was all clear. It doesn’t make sense to me.” I said.
The air became tensed.
“I’ll look into this matter once I’ll be fit again. Please, don’t involve yourself in this because I don’t want you and kids to be exposed to any kind of danger.” He said.
“If someone really tried to target you then it means they might come for me and the kids so we’re already involved in this. Don’t worry, I am taking care of us.” I said, my tone was soft.
Our conversation was interrupted by a knock on the door.
“Come in.” I said.
Lilia and Kevin walked into the private room. I stood up from the sofa and about to leave the room when Logan stopped me. “Tessa, you can stay here.” He said.
“It’s fine, Logan. I will wait outside.” I said and grabbed the door knob.
“Tessa, we’re here to spend some time with Logan. We aren’t here to do some important talks.” Kevin said.
“If she’s saying she’ll wait outside then let her go.” Lilia frowned and then rolled her eyes.
“It’s fine. I can wait outside and I am here all the time. So, you can have your own private time with Logan.‘ I assured them with a smile and walked out.
I would have stayed but I understood that as Logan’s parents‘ they also had rights on their son.
Walking out of there, I dialled Felix‘ number. When Logan told me about the tanker, it didn’t leave any doubt for a casual accident but a planned conspiracy.
“Hello, Felix. I need your help. Can you come over to my office?” I asked him.
“Sure, I’ll be there in an hour.” He said.
I then texted Adrian to meet me at my office as well.
I knew that I couldn’t do it alone so taking their help was my only option.
“You know that my cousin hates his guts.” Felix pointed his finger on Adrian who was sitting comfortably on the sofa reading a
book.

“That’s your cousin’s problem because I and Tessa are only friends.” Adrian spoke without looking up.
“Guys, can you please stop arguing? I called you both here because I have very important to discuss here.” I said in frustration.
“Tessa, I don’t pick a fight. You called me and I am here to meet you.” Adrian said.
Felix opened his mouth to say something but I glared him.
“Please, for once act like grown up men.” I glared them both.
I sighed and then rounded my way to stand in front of him.
“Adrian, did you find the identity of the man?” I asked my friend.
He frowned and looked at me.
“Didn’t you say that it should remain between us?” He raised his brow.
“I think we can trust Felix more than Logan and he can help us.” I replied.
“Come on, I am also present here and what’s really going on in here?” Felix looked between us.
