Lorelei had never been treated like this before. She was so angry she nearly fainted.

Grayson led Eloise out of the hospital.

Grayson’s face was cold and gruff as he said, “Don’t come back to bring food! And don’t even think about taking care of her! I’ll hire two caregivers to handle it.”

Eloise pressed her lips together and gave a small smile. “Okay.”

“But could we just hire one caregiver? I can’t afford two,” she said quietly.

Grayson tightened his grip on her hand and finally said, “Alright.”

Eloise looked down at their joined hands, spaced out for a couple seconds, then pulled her hand back.

Grayson furrowed his brow and muttered, “Get in the car.”

Eloise opened the passenger door and got in. “I want to go to Pierce Manor to pick up Noah.”

Eloise asked nervously, “What are you doing?”

Grayson glanced up at her with a smirk and reached over to grab her seatbelt.

Eloise felt like she was dying of embarrassment.

With a click, the seatbelt was fastened, and Grayson leaned back.

“Thought I was gonna kiss you?” he teased.

Eloise grumbled, her cheeks flushed, “Just shut up and drive already!”

Grayson said, “Only you would dare tell me to shut up.”

“And your Grandma,” Eloise added.

Grayson was speechless.

‘How could I forget about Grandma?’ he thought.

On the way, Eloise got a call from Joslyn. “Hey, Eloise, you’re off work today, right?”

“Nope, not today,” Eloise replied.

“Awesome! Let’s hit the mall together!” Joslyn cheered.

“Sorry, can’t. Noah’s at Pierce Manor, gotta pick him up,” Eloise said.

“You’re heading to Pierce Manor? I’m coming with! Hold up for me!” Joslyn said.

Joslyn hung up before Eloise could even reply.

Eloise felt a bit at a loss.

After a moment, she said, “Grayson, Joslyn is really quite a character.”

Grayson smirked. “If you don’t want to bother with her, just turn her down.”

He also thought Joslyn was a bit much.

Eloise smiled. “Not really. Honestly, I kind of envy her. She’s so carefree, like she doesn’t have a single worry.”

“All she does is eat, drink, and enjoy herself. What could she possibly have to worry about?” Grayson said.

Joslyn hadn’t worked a day since she graduated. Even when they tried to get her to join VirtuFusion Group, she absolutely refused.

Eloise glanced at Bobby’s message on her phone and let out a bitter smile.

Joslyn had always been showered with love, while all Eloise ever got from her family was indifference.

When they arrived at Pierce Manor, Joslyn was just pulling into a parking spot. The moment she spotted Grayson and Eloise standing together, she started squealing.

Grayson raised an eyebrow and smirked. “Works for me.”

Noah came running over, calling out, “Mommy!”

Eloise smiled and hugged him.

She took Noah by the hand and walked over to greet Hannah and Leo. Eloise said, “Grandma, Uncle Leo.”

Leo nodded warmly. “Have a seat and let’s talk.”

Eloise took a seat right beside Noah.

Hannah asked, “How’s your mom holding up?”

Eloise replied, “She’s staying at Oniginia Hospital, waiting for some exams, and then they’ll arrange her surgery.”

Leo said, “If you need anything, just let Grayson know.”

Hannah quickly changed the subject.

She knew Eloise’s mom had never treated her well growing up, and since Eloise didn’t want to talk about it, Hannah didn’t press.

Hannah was honestly mad at Eloise’s mom.

‘How could she be so cruel to her own child?’ Hannah thought.

Normally, when Eloise’s mom came to Ekloland for treatment, the Pierce family should have gone to see her.

But knowing Eloise’s mom was just awful, Hannah had zero interest in doing that.

She figured she’d rather spend that time being good to Eloise.

Grayson walked in and casually took a seat next to Eloise, slipping his hand around her waist.

She snatched it up and let out a loud squeal. “Grayson, you’re amazing! Best cousin ever!”

Eloise glanced over and saw Grayson had just sent Joslyn 700 thousand dollars.

‘Rich people live in a whole different world, Eloise thought.

Normal folks send red envelopes with a couple hundred, but the rich just drop two million like it’s nothing.

‘Seriously, is there any justice in this world?’ Eloise muttered to herself.

Joslyn cheered, “Grayson, you’re so handsome! You’re a total legend! Hope you two stay happy forever!”

Eloise was at a loss for words.

Joslyn kept gushing, hyping Grayson up nonstop.

“The government’s pushing for three kids now, but with you two, five or six would be a breeze!” she added, grinning. “You totally have that couple vibe. Anyone can see you’re meant to be a family”

Joslyn turned to Eloise, hyping her up. “Eloise, you just radiate good fortune! If you marry my cousin, you’ll have a bunch of kids and bring so much luck. VirtuFusion Group will totally level up with you around!”
