Chapter 101 Don’t Let It Sink
Eloise had planned to take Noah home with her.
Hannah warmly invited her to stay for lunch.
After lunch, Eloise got ready to take Noah home.
But Joslyn dragged Eloise into playing a game with her, refusing to let her leave.
Ten minutes later, Joslyn shouted, “Holy crap!”
“Holy crap! Holy crap!” Joslyn kept yelling.
Hannah smacked Joslyn on the head. “Can you act a little more ladylike? That language is so gross!”
Joslyn quickly scooted from Eloise’s left to her right, dodging Hannah’s smack.
Joslyn burst out, “Wow, Eloise, you’re amazing! Didn’t know you had it in you! Do you play this game a lot?”
“Not really, just twice,” Eloise replied.
“Just twice?!” Joslyn stared at her in disbelief.
She’d played this game over a hundred times, but compared to Eloise, she was a total noob.
Seeing she couldn’t keep up with the young folks, Hannah went back to her room for a nap.
Meanwhile, Leo was teaching Noah how to play chess.
Grayson strolled over behind Eloise, watching her fingers fly across the phone screen. He raised an eyebrow.
This little woman is actually pretty sharp, he thought.
Not wanting to disturb Eloise, who was totally absorbed in the game, Grayson headed to his room at Pierce Manor.
When Grayson came back out, Eloise was still gaming with Joslyn.
Noah ran over and latched onto Grayson’s leg. “Dad, you’re so handsome today!”
Grayson was momentarily stunned.
When Grayson didn’t say anything, Noah blinked a couple of times and piped up again. “Dad, you’re so tall!”
“Dad, your fingers are so long!”
“Dad, you look really cool when you keep a straight face and don’t say anything.”
Grayson finally couldn’t take it anymore. “Just tell me, what do you want?”
Noah grinned. “Dad, I want fried chicken, burgers, and fries.”
Grayson glanced at Eloise, then looked down at the little guy by his feet.
“No,” Grayson said.
Noah pouted. “Dad, you gotta be brave.”
“No way. I can’t risk getting in trouble with your mom just because you want junk food. If she gets mad and stops talking to me, that’s just not worth it,” Grayson replied.
“Dad, do you love me?” Noah asked.
“I guess I do,” Grayson said.
“You sound kind of reluctant, but I’ll take your word for it. If you really love me, then treat me to fried chicken, burgers, and fries,” Noah said.
Grayson shook his head. “I love you, but I love your mom even more.”
He patted Noah’s shoulder. “Son, we gotta be disciplined. Fried chicken, burgers, and fries will just make you chubby, and besides, it’ll make it harder frame to impress your enti

“Hang in there,” Grayson added.
Noah turned and ran off, pouting.
‘Come on! Joslyn sucks up to Dad and it always works, but when I try, nothing happens. Am I even his real kid?’ Noah thought to himself.
Joslyn had officially become Eloise’s devoted fangirl.
“Eloise, will you teach me how to game from now on?” Joslyn pleaded.
Eloise smiled softly. “Sure.”
Eloise ended up having dinner at Pierce Manor.
‘Finally, looks like I can head home now,’ she thought to herself.
Grayson stepped out to take a call, then came back and said, “Come with me to Pinecrest Club.”
Eloise shook her head. “No, I’m taking Noah home.”
“Noah doesn’t have preschool for the next two days, so he can keep staying at Pierce Manor,” Grayson said.
Hannah was practically thrilled to have her great-grandson stay longer. “Absolutely! Let Noah stay for another couple of days.”
Leo was all for it too.
Eloise hesitated, “But…”
“No more excuses. Just come with me,” Grayson said.
Grayson grabbed Eloise’s hand and pulled her out the door.
“Me too! Me too! I wanna go!” Joslyn yelled, bursting out the door.
She jumped into her car and followed right behind Grayson’s.
Before long, the three of them arrived at Pinecrest Club.
Grayson led Eloise up front, their hands intertwined. Joslyn followed behind, watching them and giggling so hard she snorted like a pig, covering her mouth to stifle the sound.
Grayson turned and gave her a cold glare. “Can you not make such creepy noises? If you keep it up, I’m sending you back.”
Joslyn muffled her laughter. “Okay, I’ll do my best.”
Grayson pulled Eloise into the private room, still holding her hand.
Rhys and Colton were both caught off guard for a moment when they saw Eloise.
Colton was the first to recover, grinning. “Yo, Eloise!”
Eloise said awkwardly, “Don’t call me that. Me and Grayson aren’t a thing.”
Rhys raised an eyebrow. “Oh yeah? Then why are you holding hands?”
Eloise quickly yanked her hand away from Grayson.
Grayson was always getting handsy with her, and honestly, Eloise was tired of fighting him off. Sometimes she just didn’t bother, and he totally took advantage whenever she let her guard down.
Joslyn knew Rhys and Colton, so she greeted them with a smile before dragging Eloise over to the black leather sofa.
Colton snapped a photo of the girls on the sofa and sent it to his group chat on WhatsApp.
The three guys chilled nearby, drinking and chatting, their laughter mixing with the buzz of the club.
Joslyn leaned in close and whispered in Eloise’s ear, “Hey, Eloise, do you think Colton’s hot or what?”

Eloise glanced up at Colton, barely giving him a look. “Yeah, he’s pretty cute.”
“Do you think I have a shot at winning him over?” Joslyn asked.
Eloise was snacking on sunflower seeds and almost bit her finger in surprise.
“Colton’s got a… uh, someone,” Eloise stammered.
She almost blurted out “girlfriend,” but then remembered Juliette had told her they were just friends with benefits.
Joslyn blinked in surprise. “Wait, he has a girlfriend? How come I never heard about this?”
Joslyn was so innocent, she just assumed “woman” meant “girlfriend.”
Eloise gave an awkward smile and didn’t answer.
Joslyn shifted her gaze to Rhys. “Then I’ll go after Rhys instead.”
Eloise remembered seeing him at the bar with a girl on each arm.
