Chapter 146
Bobby was so shocked by the message that he nearly passed out from anger.
He thought Eloise was just bluffing, that she’d never actually make Lorelei stay in a hotel.
But now, the hotel reservation details had been sent over.
‘She actually went through with it,’ Bobby thought, completely stunned.

Lorelei shot a cold look at the message and snapped, “Tell her to cancel it. I can pay for myself. I don’t need her booking a hotel for me.”
Bobby said, “Mom, please don’t get upset. I’ll talk to her about it later.”

Lorelei scoffed, “She’s got such a temper now. Just leave her be. Let’s act like she’s not even part of the family.”

Eloise didn’t go to pick them up.
After Bobby and Lorelei arrived in Ekloland, they didn’t stay at the hotel Eloise had booked. Instead, they checked into a hotel near the company.
Eloise didn’t mind and simply canceled the reservation.
‘It’s better to save her money. She thought.
Bobby gave her a piece of his mind over text, but Eloise barely skimmed the messages before deleting them. She didn’t even bother to reply.
Lately, she was still working on the sunroom, picking up some cute flower pots and racks online.
Grayson walked in with a thermos, opened it, and handed it to her. “Have some water.”
Eloise took off her gloves, set them aside, and took the thermos.
The water was just the right temperature, perfect for drinking.
When Eloise had almost finished, Grayson took the thermos back and closed it.
He glanced around the sunroom. “It looks great.”
A small smile tugged at Eloise’s lips. “It still feels a bit empty. Maybe I’ll check out the flower market later and hunt for some new flowers.”
Grayson, knowing this was her thing, offered, “Do you want to go now? I’ll go with you.”
Eloise thought for a second, then nodded. “Yeah, that works.”

“How do you know that?” Grayson asked.
“I overheard it. She has her eyes on you and is trying to snag you,” Eloise said.
Grayson’s face darkened. “Who even is she? I’ve never met her.”

him a half-smile. “You don’t know her? But when I mentioned the Carter family wanting you to marry their daughter, you clearly knew what I meant.”
Grayson’s expression turned grim.
“I know Harvey Carter, but I don’t know his daughter. I honestly can’t even picture her face. Harvey did bring

up,
Eloise pinched his cheek. “Why are you getting all worked up?”
Grayson grabbed her hand. “I’m afraid you’ll misunderstand and leave me.”
Eloise had finally opened up to him, and he couldn’t afford to mess things up now.
Eloise smiled, pulled her hand back, and said, “Keep your eyes on the road.”
Grayson still couldn’t read her, so he pulled over and turned to Eloise, gently holding her face. His gaze was anxious, almost desperate.
“Eloise, trust me, I…” he began, voice trembling.
But Eloise leaned in and kissed him, stopping him before he could finish.
As she started to pull away, Grayson kept her close, deepening the kiss.
“Eloise, are you mad at me?” Grayson asked, his voice full of worry.
“Who said I was mad?” Eloise replied, her tone light.
“I’m afraid you’ll misunderstand and leave me.”
“Relax. I’m still pretty into you right now, so I’m not dumping you,” Eloise teased.
“I wish I could just marry you right now and let the whole world know you’re mine. Then you’d have no way to escape,” Grayson said, his voice thick with longing.
“Getting married doesn’t mean you’re stuck. There’s always divorce, you know…” Eloise shot back playfully.
“Hey, don’t jinx it! Eloise, marry me, will you?” Grayson blurted out.
“No rush,” Eloise replied.
“Well, I can’t wait,” Grayson said, sounding desperate.

“If you’re so impatient, maybe you should just go marry someone else,” Eloise joked.

“Don’t even say that. I’m yours, you’re mine. We’re only for each other,” Grayson replied, sounding possessive.
“If you don’t let me say anything, just poison me until I’m mute,” Eloise retorted.
Grayson was speechless.
“Are we going or not? The flower market’s gonna close soon,” Eloise said.
Grayson reluctantly let her go, then started the car.
Because of all the tips Hannah had given her lately, Eloise had gotten really good at picking out flowers.
Grayson stood there with one hand in his pocket, watching her as she carefully picked through the flowers and haggled with the shop owner.
She was just so vibrant and alive.
He couldn’t look away from her. Every smile, every subtle frown, pulled him deeper in.
The florist recognized Eloise right away. She was one of her best customers, always buying loads of flowers whenever she stopped by.
As soon as Eloise walked in, the florist greeted her with a big smile, “Hey, good to see you!”
Eloise grinned and nodded. “Got anything new in stock lately?”
“Absolutely! Take a look over here. These are super easy to care for, and the blooms are beautiful,” the florist said.
Eloise checked them out and felt pretty satisfied.
“Alright, grab me two of these, and two of those over there,” Eloise said.
“Got it!” the florist replied.
Eloise followed the florist to the register, and the florist shot a playful look at Grayson, who was standing nearby looking tall and handsome.
“Is that your husband?” the florist asked.
