When they got home, Eloise wanted to help move the flower pots, but Grayson ushered her inside. “I got this.”

Eloise checked the time and headed to the kitchen to start making dinner.

By the time Grayson had moved all the flower pots to the sunroom, cleaned up the car, and taken a shower upstairs, Eloise had already finished making dinner.

Hannah was still upset that Grayson hadn’t taken her out, and she gave him the cold shoulder the whole dinner.

Grayson just shrugged it off and ladled Eloise a bowl of soup.

The next morning.

Hannah and Noah were sitting side by side on the couch, glancing up at the stairs every so often.

Hannah checked the wall clock.

Normally, Eloise would have already finished making breakfast by this time.

‘What’s going on today?’ Hannah wondered.

Noah sighed. “Ever since Mom started sharing a room with Dad, her sleep schedule’s totally messed up. She never used to sleep late.”

“Your parents are sharing a room?” Hannah asked, her lips twitching as she tried to hide her smile.

She only stayed over here once in a while, always on the first floor, so she had no clue what was happening upstairs.

‘Is my clueless grandson really that fast? He’s already sharing a room with Eloise?’ Hannah thought, a little surprised.

Noah nodded. “They’ve been sharing a room for a while now, but honestly, Dad just kept pushing for it. Mom doesn’t really agree.”

Hannah didn’t catch the hint of annoyance in Noah’s voice. She just latched onto the main point.

If her grandson slept with his wife, she was about to have a great-granddaughter.

“Noah, are you hungry? Let’s go back to Pierce Manor for breakfast,” Hannah said, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

She called the bodyguard and then the maid, Noemi, telling her to get breakfast ready.

“Dustin, help me dig up some dirt on Eloise. I want to destroy that woman!” she hissed.

Dustin glanced up from his files, looking confused. “Eloise? What did she ever do to you?”

“She stole my man!”

Dustin sighed, looking exasperated. “Chloe, Eloise and Grayson are already a couple. She didn’t steal him from you. If you’re going to go after her, at least make it look justified.”

Chloe stomped her foot. “I don’t care! Grayson’s the one I want, and a woman like Eloise is nowhere near good enough for him.”

Dustin rubbed his temples. “Cut it out, Chloe. Grayson doesn’t like you at all. When Mom and Dad first wanted to set up a marriage between our families, I told them you two were never a good match.”

He’d actually been punched by Grayson before. He knew firsthand just how crazy that guy could get.

If Grayson didn’t like someone, he wouldn’t even pretend to be polite. He’d throw punches and his words

were savage.

Chloe shot back, “Dustin, whose side are you really on? Don’t forget you’re my brother, not hers.”

Dustin replied, “That’s exactly why I’m telling you. Give up on Grayson. He’s not right for you.”

Chloe insisted, “I think we’re a great match. There’s hardly a girl in Ekloland who doesn’t want to marry Grayson. He’s handsome, capable, and the only son of the Pierce family. If I married him, it’d be nothing but good for our family.”
