The next day, Juliette showed up with a suitcase, and Eloise had already prepared a room for her.

Juliette sprawled out on the bed, rolling around in comfort.

“This room is amazing, Eloise. Living with you is the best. You’ve got everything set up for me, just like my mom would. You’re so considerate,” Juliette said.

Noah leaned over and whispered to Eloise, “Are Juliette and Colton arguing?”

Noah asked quietly, “Why did they come to our house just to argue?”

Eloise replied, “Great question. I’d love to know too. Never mind, let’s just eat and enjoy the drama.”

“Mom, what do you mean by ‘drama’?” Noah asked, genuinely puzzled.

Eloise fell silent.

“Sweetie, ‘drama’ means something fun to watch.” Eloise explained.

After dinner, Eloise was cleaning up in the kitchen.

Noah came running over. “Mom, Juliette just dragged Colton outside.”

“It’s not for kids. Go upstairs,” Eloise said, gently shooing him away.

“Okay,” Noah obediently headed upstairs.

She walked over to the window and peeked outside.

Eloise just gave them a quick glance, then headed back to the kitchen to get on with her chores.
