Eloise walked out of the kitchen with the cutlery in hand, just inime to hear what Grayson said. She was so shocked she nearly dropped everything.

She glared at the back of Grayson’s head. ‘Since when did I become his girlfriend? Unbelievable, this guy is so shameless,’ Eloise grumbled to herself.

She was furious that he went around telling people they were a couple like it was a fact, without even bothering to ask her first.

‘What is he even thinking? How am I supposed to explain this mess later?’ Eloise thought, her irritation rising.

Grayson hung up the phone and turned around, pausing for a moment. Eloise stared at him with wide eyes, her lips pressed tight in anger.

But her glare didn’t intimidate him at all. Instead, he found her adorable.

He smiled and walked over, reaching out to touch her face, but Eloise dodged him and walked past him toward the dining

room.

Grayson smiled slightly as he pulled his hand back.

Eloise put the cutlery down. “Grayson, I never agreed to be your girlfriend. Why do you keep telling people that?”

Grayson slipped one hand into his pocket and walked closer. “It’s gonna happen sooner or later, so what’s the big deal i it now?”

Eloise turned to him, clearly annoyed. “And how do you know I’ll agree? What makes you so sure?”

“If you’re not with me, who else would you even want?” Grayson said, his voice firm. “I won’t let you be with any other man.”

Grayson wasn’t about to let anyone hit on Eloise. If they tried, held make sure they regretted it.

Eloise shot back, “I don’t need anyone. I can live on my own, or maybe I’ll just date a woman. Either way, it’s definitely not you.”

Grayson froze. ‘Only Eloise,’ he thought, ‘could get under my skin like this.

He glanced at the table full of delicious food and took a deep breath. “I’m not arguing with you. Let’s eat,” he said.

“You think I want to fight with you? Stop telling everyone I’m your girlfriend.” Eloise glared, her face all serious and fierce.

Grayson smirked, “Then how about I just call you my honey?”

“Grayson,” Eloise barked.

“Alright, I won’t say it. Let’s eat,” Grayson said, his voice softening as he tried to smooth things over.

“Aunt Eloise, what are you guys arguing about?” Noah suddenly appeared behind them.

Eloise turned around, her face instantly softening “We weren’t arguing, sweetie. We just got a little loud, that’s all

‘Do they really think I’m just some dumb little kid? Noah though, rolling his eyes inwardly. ‘Forget it, not my business anyway.

Noah walked over and sat in his usual seat. The three of them started eating.

Camille stood at the entrance of Unit C08, 58 Vernal Road. The cold night wind whipped at her, but nothing could chill her heart more than what she’d just heard.

‘Since when did Grayson get a girlfriend? He’s never mentioned anything about it to me, Camille thought, her mind spinning.

Even though she was living abroad, Camille had always kept tabs on Grayson. She knew that when Tessa tried to confess to him, he called the cops and Tessa ended up at the police station.

Camille also knew about the eight blind dates the Pierce family set up for him, and how he ended up making every single one of them cry.

All these years, Grayson had never shown the slightest interest in any woman. And of course, that included her too.

But Camille was convinced she was different. She’d saved his life once, and that had to mean something. She just knew that if she stayed close and kept being patient, he’d catch feelings for her sooner or later.

Even while Camille was overseas for two years, she made sure to check in with Grayson regularly, always worried some other woman might try to sneak in while she was gone.

Everything she heard said Grayson was still the same: distant, uninterested, alone. So she refused to believe he really had a girlfriend.

‘Did he figure out how I feel and just made up this excuse to brush me off? Is this his way of rejecting me?’ Camille wondered, feeling a sharp pang in her chest

Camille had never confessed her feelings, always remaining in the friend zone. But now that she was back, she couldn’t wa anymore.

She asked to join VirtuFusion Group, and Grayson agreed. Now she was officially part of the project team.

It was all to get to Grayson. After all this time and effort, there was no way Camille was backing down now.

‘So what if Grayson has a girlfriend? I’m still going to win him over and marry into the Pierce family,’ Camille thought, gritting her teeth.

Between her own bites, Eloise kept loading up Noah’s plate with more food.

Grayson watched, and couldn’t help but feel a twinge of jealousy ‘Man, Eloise really spoils Noah. If she’d just give me half the attention she gives Noah, I’d be over the moon,’ he mused.

Just then, his phone rang again. He was about to dismiss it, but seeing it was Hannah, he answered right away. “Grandma,” he

said.

Hearing that, Eloise looked up at Grayson. She pictured Hannah gentle smile in her mind.

Hannah asked, “Grayson, are you home?”

Grayson replied, “Nope, I’m having dinner at your future granddaughter-in-law’s place.”

Eloise rolled her eyes. There he goes again, just making things she thought, totally fed up.

Hannah already had the wrong idea about them, and now there was no way Eloise could ever set the record straight.

Noah looked up from his food to Grayson, trying to figure out what “granddaughter-in-law” even meant.

‘Dad said he was having dinner at granddaughter-in-law’s place, and he’s at our house,’ Noah thought. ‘So that means the granddaughter-in-law is Mom.’

Hannah said, “Why didn’t you invite me? I want to have dinner at her place too. Her cooking must be amazing.”

Grayson replied, “Yeah, her food’s seriously good.”

“You little rascal, you’re impossible. Didn’t even think to invite me,” Hannah grumbled.

Grayson laughed, assuring Hannah, “No chance this time, Grandma. Next time, I’ll bring you along for sure.”

Hannah said, “Alright, you better remember. Next time, you have to take me. Well, I’m hanging up. Tell her I miss her and want her to come over sometime.”

“Got it, Grandma,” Grayson replied.
