Chapter 98 I’m All Yours

Chapter 98 I’m All Yours

When Eloise saw the luxury suite Grayson had arranged, she nearly blacked out.

‘Does he even realize how tough things are for normal people? Does he really think we can afford this kind of place?’ Eloise thought.

Lorelei, on the other hand, was quite pleased with the room.

“Alright, this will do,” she said.

Eloise rushed out to call Grayson. He was in the middle of a meeting, but when he saw it was Eloise, he didn’t hesitate to pick up. “Baby, did you miss me?”

The group of executives in the room nearly dropped their jaws.

‘Did he just say that? That tone, though!’ everyone thought. ‘Is that really coming from our cold, domineering Mr. Pierce?’

It really was from their famously icy, domineering Mr. Grayson Pierce.

Next, they watched as the cold Mr. Pierce suddenly turned into a puppy-eyed version of himself, and kept saying things that made them shudder.

“Baby, don’t worry about a thing. I’ll cover all the costs,” Grayson said.

Eloise rubbed her temples. “Grayson, this really isn’t your business. I don’t want you paying for this. Can you help us switch to a standard room? Just a double would be fine.”

“Eloise, don’t be shy with me. Everything I have is yours. I’m all yours,” Grayson said.

The execs were speechless.

Eloise cleared her throat, ignoring Grayson’s crazy talk. “If you don’t change it, we’re not staying.”

Grayson hurried to say, “Alright, I’ll get it changed. Don’t be mad.”

Grayson hung up and shot a look at the execs, who were still slack-jawed. He called out to Finn, “Have Oniginia Hospital switch them to a regular room.”

Finn grinned, stood up, and headed out to make the call.

Lorelei got moved to a regular room, where she had to bunk with an old lady. She looked really unhappy about

“I’m not used to sharing a room. I can’t sleep at night,” Lorelei grumbled.

Bobby said, “Mom, just hang in there. Once you’ve had your surgery and you’re better, I’ll take you home right away.”

Bobby was honestly relieved the hospital switched them to a normal room. No way he could pay for a fancy room in a private hospital.

Lorelei didn’t say much after that, so she just went along with it, even though she wasn’t happy.

When Eloise was nowhere to be seen, Lorelei muttered, “She vanished already? Typical. You really can’t rely on her for anything.”

“Bobby, from now on, I’m counting on you. As far as I’m concerned, it’s like I never even raised that girl,” Lorelei

said.

Bobby said, “Mom, don’t say that. Eloise’s been running all over town trying to find a hospital. It’s not easy for her.”

“Who knows if she even bothered? Maybe she just picked this place and called it a day,” Lorelei grumbled. “I just got settled in, and she’s already disappeared. Bet she’s afraid I’ll ask her to stay overnight with me.”

As soon as Lorelei finished speaking, Eloise walked in, carrying two basins in one arm and a bag of daily necessities in the other.

An awkward silence filled the room.

Bobby tried to break the tension with a smile. “Eloise, you went out to buy all this? We thought you’d left. You’ re always so thoughtful. I didn’t even think of it.”

Eloise didn’t respond. She just gave them a brief glance, set the stuff down on the floor, and turned to leave.

Lorelei clutched her chest. “See that attitude? She’s totally ignoring us. Good riddance. I can’t be bothered to look at her anyway.”

“Mom, just drop it,” Bobby said.

Eloise got into her car, her chest feeling tight. She rolled down the window, letting the cold wind rush in.

Even the biting chill couldn’t do anything to ease the pain she felt inside.

She hated that she just couldn’t be ruthless.

No matter how much she helped, she never got so much as a thank you, but she still couldn’t bring herself to just leave them behind.

She sat in the car for a while, then called Noah.

“Mommy.” Noah’s voice was soft and sweet through the phone.

Hearing that, Eloise finally let a smile slip across her lips.

She asked gently, “Are you having fun at Grandpa and Great-Grandma’s house?”

“Yeah! Grandpa bought me lots of toys, and Grandma Wang in the kitchen made all my favorite dishes,” Noah replied.

“Did you remember to say thank you?” Eloise asked.

“Oops, I forgot,” Noah replied.

“Make sure to say it tomorrow, okay? You’re such a good boy,” Eloise said.

“Got it, Mommy! I’ll remember to say it tomorrow. Mommy, is Grandma here?” Noah asked.

“Yeah,” Eloise replied.

“Did she scold you?” Noah asked.

“No,” Eloise replied.

“If she does, you should talk back to her,” Noah said.

“Noah, if I scold you, would you talk back to me?” Eloise asked.

“No, I wouldn’t,” Noah replied.

“Then I shouldn’t scold Grandma either,” Eloise said.

Noah replied, “It’s different, Mommy. You love me, so when you scold me, it’s for my own good. But Grandma doesn’t love you. She just nags you for no reason.”

Eloise was speechless.

She gave a helpless laugh. “You really have a way of putting things. It’s late, time for bed.”

“Goodnight, Mommy,” Noah said.

“Goodnight,” Eloise replied.

After hanging up, Eloise felt a lot better. She started the car and headed home.

Just as Eloise was getting ready for bed, Grayson appeared at her door.

Eloise eyed him warily from the doorway. “I’m about to go to bed. If you have something to say, let’s talk tomorrow.”

With that, she went to close the door.

Grayson stuck his foot in the doorway, blocking her from closing it, and just squeezed in easily.

He pulled Eloise into his embrace and bent down toward her.

Eloise blocked him with her hand. “No kissing, you’ve got a cold,” she said.

Grayson paused, stared at her for a moment, then finally released her, unwillingly.

He slipped past her and went straight into the bathroom.

Eloise thought he just needed to use the restroom, but soon enough, she heard the shower start running.

‘Is he really showering right now?’ Eloise thought.

Five minutes later, Grayson came out, wearing nothing but her bath towel wrapped around his waist.

Eloise was stunned. She rushed forward, ready to grab the towel off him, but stopped herself just in time.

Grayson leaned against the doorframe, looking totally relaxed and unconcerned. “If you want it, just take it. It’s not like you haven’t seen me naked before,” he said.

Eloise was speechless.

She quietly pulled her hand back, doing her best not to look at his waist and abs. All those were toned muscles.

“Who told you to use my towel? How am I supposed to use it now?” Eloise demanded.

Grayson shrugged. “I just finished showering, had nothing to dry off with, and no clothes. What else could I do?” Eloise turned away, trying to steady her breathing.

“It’s the middle of the night. Why aren’t you at your own place? Why are you here showering at mine? Are you nuts?” Eloise snapped.

“If you say I’m nuts, then nuts it is,” Grayson said.

Eloise was speechless.

It felt like arguing with a wall. Her words just sank into nothing.

“Put your clothes on and get out of here!” Eloise snapped.

“They’re dirty,” Grayson replied.
