Chapter 29
He was still wearing his police uniform, holding a bouquet of flowers in his hand as he walked toward me.
For a moment, I was caught off guard. Why would Calvin come here?
Shouldn’t he be at Georgia’s graduation ceremony at this time?
My university isn’t even in the same city as his.
My dazed expression caught Reginald’s attention, and he followed my gaze to look behind him.
The moment Reginald saw Calvin, he frowned.
That familiar scent of gunpowder.
Both of them were exceptionally good–looking and tall.
It was effortless for them to become the center of attention.
I overheard my classmates whispering: “No wonder Whitney never dated anyone in college. Turns out she was secretly hiding two such amazing guys.”
Someone nodded in agreement: “Yeah, they easily outshine all the oddballs at our school.”
Another person said enviously, “How nice, she actually has two such handsome guys.”
I almost felt pierced by all those gazes, whether kind or jealous, so I quickly said to the two of them, “Let’s talk outside.”
Then I took the lead and walked out of the auditorium.
Only after leaving all the noise behind did I stop, turn around to look at them, and ask, “Why are you here?”
Reginald replied matter–of–factly, “It’s your big graduation day. Of course I had to come.”
I turned to Calvin and asked, “Why did you come?”
To be honest, I wasn’t too surprised that Reginald showed up here.
But Calvin–today is also Georgia’s graduation ceremony. Why would he come to mine instead of

Calvin shoved the bouquet into my hands and said, “To celebrate your college graduation.”
His tone was so natural, as if he and I were much closer than we actually were.
Reginald frowned, snatched the flowers from my hands, and replaced them with the bouquet he had bought. “The flowers I bought are better. This color suits you more.”
Calvin’s face darkened when he saw this.
This situation was giving me a terrible headache.
I could only hold both bouquets in my arms and say, “Thank you both for coming to my graduation ceremony, but I still have things to do, so you should both head back now.”
I could still vividly remember the last time they fought one–on–one. I really didn’t want to see them get into a fight on such a wonderful day.
That would be so unlucky.
Maybe they noticed the awkwardness on my face.
They exchanged a glance and then nodded.
Reginald said, “I’ll come find you later then.”
With that, the two of them left together. Their backs, side by side, looked not only pleasing to the eye but also carried a kind of harmony I couldn’t quite understand.
I didn’t understand how they suddenly became so amicable.
But I didn’t dwell on it. I carried the two huge bouquets back to the graduation ceremony.
The next day, when Reginald appeared in front of me, I finally understood what was behind yesterday’s strange scene.
It turned out the two of them had gone off to have another fight.
Looking at the wound on the corner of his mouth, I nodded with satisfaction. “Not bad, this time the injury isn’t serious.”
Reginald lifted his chin proudly. “Of course, I’ve been practicing a lot these past few years.”
Then I asked, “What about Calvin? Did he get hurt?”

The moment I mentioned Calvin, Reginald’s upturned lips immediately drooped. “I can’t believe you’re still so concerned about him. What could possibly happen to him…”
Before he could finish, Calvin’s voice rang out, “I’ve been practicing a lot these past few years
too.”
