He Gave Her My Eyes A Story of Final Sight novel Chapter 232

Teresa barely had time to think before she slid into the car. The cold hit her right away. Seriously, it was freezing in here. Only one person kept their car this cold.

She glanced over, almost on reflex, and saw him sitting there, perfectly put together. Her eyes widened just a little. Of course it was him.

She stayed quiet, but Garry was the first to speak. “Tim, turn up the heat.”

Tim looked at her, then at Garry, and clearly understood what was going on. Garry always had a soft spot for her.

The next ten minutes were painfully quiet.

The silence got to Teresa, pressing in around her. She cleared her throat, hoping to break the tension. “Garry, what are the odds? Out of all the cars, I ended up in yours.”

It wasn’t luck. Garry had come for her on purpose.

After watching the replay of Teresa’s stream, Garry knew she might be in trouble. With Oliver’s petty personality, there was no way he’d let it go after Teresa had ruined his plans. Garry had Tim look into it, and sure enough, Oliver had sent a few thugs after her.

Garry rushed over, heart pounding, and caught her just as she was trying to get away.

He sat there, ramrod straight, not even glancing at her. “Yeah.”

That was it?

Just “Yeah”?

He was getting quieter every time she saw him.

Since he clearly wasn’t going to say anything else, Teresa gave up on conversation too. She spent the rest of the ride staring out the window, not that she was really seeing anything.

When they got to the hotel, Garry stopped the car. Teresa opened the door and stepped out, only to realize she wasn’t wearing any shoes.

She paused, then set her other foot down anyway.

Pain shot through her foot. She must have cut it on a rock while running.

Frowning, Teresa gritted her teeth and tried to walk, but before she could take a step, Garry scooped her up effortlessly.

Garry didn’t let go. His tone left no room for argument. “I’m better at this.”

She didn’t say anything else. Honestly, they’d done more intimate things than this. It was just medicine.

Teresa sat on the edge of the bed, bracing herself with her hands behind her. She couldn’t help but sneak glances at Garry’s face.

He really was handsome. Not a single flaw.

If she had to find one, maybe his skin was almost too fair.

At that moment, Garry’s phone rang.

He pulled it from his pocket, and for a split second, Teresa saw the name on the screen.

Nettie.
