Malloy leaned in and said, “I heard he’s doing all this to pay for a family member’s medical bills. But honestly, in this line of work, everyone likes to put on a tragic backstory. That’s how you get clients to feel sorry for you and start spending.”
Medical bills for family? Was he talking about Leila? So Felton really was short on cash when he came asking last time.
They were still chatting when Hanson finally showed up.
He walked in, took one look at Malloy’s outfit, and immediately got the picture. Hanson swaggered over, flopped onto the couch, and crossed his legs. “You two are unbelievable. Hired a male model, huh?”
Teresa grinned. “Helena said you’ve got too much money. She’s just helping you spend some of it.”
Hanson gave a dry little laugh. “Wow, thanks for nothing.”
Helena narrowed her eyes. “It’s more fun when everyone joins in. Want us to get a girl for you too?”
Hanson put his hand up. “No way. I’ve got tons of girls chasing after me already. Why would I waste money? You think I’m as gullible as you?”
Helena shot back, “You’re the one paying, so how could I be the sucker?”
Those two couldn’t be in the same room without bickering. It was always the same story.
Teresa just shook her head, smiling helplessly. Meanwhile, Malloy was all about her, gentle and attentive, giving her his full attention.
After a while, Teresa slipped away to the restroom, splashed some water on her face, and took a deep breath.
When she stepped out, there was Malloy, waiting right by the door.
His dedication was almost impressive.
She walked over, heels clicking. “Why are you waiting for me out here?”
Teresa headed back toward the room. As she walked past another private suite, she heard a voice she recognized. Instinctively, she glanced over.
The door wasn’t fully closed, and through the crack, she saw Felton on his knees with his back to the door. Nelson was standing right in front of him.
She remembered those two never got along. Looked like Felton was about to have a rough night.
Teresa started to turn away. People make their choices. If Felton picked this path, he should’ve known what he was in for.
But just as she was about to leave, she saw Nelson unfasten his belt right in front of Felton.
The sight made Teresa freeze.
In the next instant, she kicked the door open.
