To say Helena wasn't worried would be a lie, but she chose to trust her son's judgment.
Her heart was pounding with anxiety, but she had to keep the situation under control. "Whoever bullied Ms. Lawrence was definitely someone else. It wasn't Juniper."
"Helena, you've never been this foolish. Felicity is utterly spoiled. If she says it was someone, then it was them. Plus, she had cuts all over her hand. When she goes crying to the Lawrence family, you're going to suffer the consequences. You need to handle this right now before it ruins your son."
Helena kept the composed smile on her face. "I know what I'm doing. You all go on ahead."
The women dispersed, leaving only the bodyguards standing by the door.
Helena turned back to look at Juniper. She had never really spoken to her before, so she asked gently, "Did you find what you need?"
Juniper had been surprised from the moment this unfolded. Caleb's mother was actually taking her side.
Boss Caleb was a good man, and it turned out his mother was a good woman too.
The guarded look in her eyes softened significantly. She shook her head. "I might need a few more hours."
Helena reached out and gave her shoulder a comforting pat. "I'll have someone bring you some pastries and fruit. Take your time. It's going to be chaotic out in the main hall tonight with all the guests. If you want to avoid trouble, it's best not to go out there."
It was a subtle warning that Felicity might try another stunt.
"Understood. Thank you, Mrs. Xavier."
Helena turned to leave, her bodyguards following closely behind. One of them spoke up, clearly worried. "Madam, Felicity has likely gone back to her family by now."
Helena had completely disrespected Felicity in front of an audience. If the Lawrence family intervened, Helena's comfortable life would be over.
Helena pressed her lips together. She was feeling incredibly unsure of her gamble, but thankfully, Nelson Saint was also here tonight.
