Juniper sat back down, her expression grim.
"Juniper, Felicity will be here soon. I don't need you to drop to your knees. Just give her a proper apology so she can let this go."
Was she supposed to be grateful for her mercy?
Juniper found it laughable and remained silent. At that moment, the door swung open, and Felicity Lawrence marched in.
She had brought her little entourage of lackeys with her. Clearly, she felt she had lost face in front of them last time and was here to reclaim her dominance.
Seeing the extra audience, Cecilia frowned. She had explicitly told Felicity to come alone.
Felicity crossed her arms, tilting her chin up haughtily. "Mom, did you finish talking to her? The wound on my hand still hasn't healed. I already know exactly how I'm going to pay her back. She's going to grovel and beg, and then I'm going to take this knife and slice her face twice. Only then will I forgive her."
She pulled out a folding pocketknife, flicked it open, and glared viciously at Juniper's face.
Before coming here, she had promised Lydia Thorne that she would ruin Juniper's face.
Lydia had repeatedly warned her not to be impulsive, reminding her that today was Nelson's birthday.
Felicity had secretly rolled her eyes. So what if it was her cousin's birthday? He was busy having dinner with his wife and kid right now. He definitely wouldn't have time to care about Juniper.
Juniper found the absurdity of it all genuinely hilarious and let out a soft laugh.
Felicity's temper flared. The sound of her laughter was like a lit match. "What the hell are you laughing at?"
Juniper looked at Cecilia. "Ms. Saint, it seems we have nothing left to discuss."
Cecilia's brow furrowed. This clearly wasn't the type of apology she had anticipated. "Felicity..."
Before she could finish her sentence, Felicity lunged forward, gripping the pocketknife tightly, aiming a vicious slash right at Juniper's face.
"I'm going to ruin that pretty face of yours! Let's see how you seduce Nelson then!"
Juniper had reached her absolute limit. She raised her leg and planted a brutal kick square into Felicity's stomach.
