Realizing the girl in front of him was his own cousin, Julian exclaimed, "Juno, what are you doing here?"
Juno, still clutching her chest, stuck her tongue out playfully at Julian and pointed at Zachary. "I was learning how to drag race from Zachary! You have no idea how fast he was going just now."
Raising her chin proudly, she added, "But I wasn't too shabby either. To be able to keep up at that speed... man, I'm seriously impressed by my own racing talent!"
Zachary’s cold, deep voice cut through the air. "Nonsense."
Julian put on a stern face to scold her. "Exactly. Do you have any idea how dangerous that was?"
Juno grinned. "I know, I know! It was like a scene straight out of an action movie. I was terrified!"
She turned her attention back to Zachary. "So, what do you actually do for a living? Why do you carry a gun on you?"
Zachary kept his face impassive. Even with this vibrant, energetic girl practically bouncing beside him, he kept his eyes fixed on the road, thoroughly uninterested. "No reason."
Tilting her head, Juno stared at the handsome profile of his face, her eyes shining with curiosity and awe. "I've got to admit, the way you jumped out of the car and fired that gun was incredibly hot. You looked just like an elite assassin from a movie!"
"Are you a secret agent or something? You have this intense, mysterious aura around you!"
Zachary’s expression didn't change. "Shut up and hold on."
The moment the words left his mouth, the engine roared, and the sports car shot forward like an arrow.
Startled, Juno quickly grabbed onto her seat, but she still kept stealing curious glances at him.
Scarlett and Julian watched this entire exchange from the back.
