He Lost Me to His Best Friend novel Chapter 1062

Without absolute composure and hyper-precise judgment, pulling off a maneuver like that would be impossible.

Juno looked at him with stars in her eyes. "That was incredible! I'm officially announcing it—as of today, my idol is no longer my cousin. It's you, Zachary!"

Julian let out a helpless laugh. "Juno, can you not become a fangirl over every single person you meet?"

Juno rolled her eyes at the backseat. "Well, it's your fault for not being as good a driver as him!"

"Zachary," she said, beaming, "I run a racing crew called The Whirlwind Crew. We drift and drag race all the time. I'm officially inviting you to join us. What do you say?"

She was absolutely certain he would agree.

Instead, she was met with a brutally cold, emotionless rejection.

"No."

"I don't play boring, juvenile games."

Zachary's words hung in the air, creating a suffocating, awkward silence inside the car.

It took Juno a good ten seconds to recover from the blunt rejection. She pouted, clearly wounded.

"That’s so harsh," she muttered. "Do you have any idea how strict the selection process for The Whirlwind Crew is? Even my cousin, Irvin, begged to join, and I mercilessly turned him down."

Zachary’s expression remained glacial. "Not interested."

Then, out of nowhere, he added, "And Irvin is indeed a weakling."

Scarlett and Julian couldn’t hold it in anymore; they both burst out laughing.
