Juno had always been a master at complimenting people. Wherever she went, she was the life of the party, effortlessly making people of all ages burst into laughter.
With her naturally optimistic and sunny disposition, she thrived on bringing joy to others. It gave her a genuine sense of accomplishment. She eagerly waited for Zachary's reaction, having already prepared a whole mental list of things to say to keep him smiling.
To her dismay, her charm completely backfired. Not only did Zachary remain entirely indifferent, but his expression grew noticeably colder. Juno could even sense a thick layer of repulsion in his gaze.
Feeling completely wronged, she pouted, suddenly unsure of what to do with herself.
Stellan caught onto the awkward shift and softly interjected. "Don't be sad, Juno. That's just how he is. A total iceberg. Come on, try this pie. It's from the Heritage Eatery. They've been around for a century, and it's practically impossible for most people to get their hands on these."
He slid a small plate in front of her. "What are you up to after breakfast? I can give you a ride if you want."
Stellan rarely took the initiative with women. The last girl he had pursued this eagerly was Scarlett, and unfortunately, Julian had beaten him to the punch. Now that he had finally met another girl who caught his eye, he wasn't about to let her slip away. He silently swore to himself that he was going to win Juno over, no matter what.
Juno, however, kept her eyes glued to Zachary. "I don't know," she replied absentmindedly. "I was on a mission earlier today, but now that it's over, I don't really have anything going on."
"In that case, why don't we go camping?" Stellan offered enthusiastically. "I heard there's a music festival at an outdoor camp here in Bay City today. It'll be packed."
Juno turned to Zachary hopefully. "Zachary, do you want to go?"
