He Lost Me to His Best Friend novel Chapter 200

But he knew the kind of man Julian was.

If he hadn't investigated thoroughly and confirmed the truth beyond a shadow of a doubt, he never would have said these things or made this decision.

But... this truth, wasn't it far too devastating?

He meant Sylvia not only cheated on him, but had someone else's baby?

Yardley was shaking uncontrollably, his legs giving out. Unable to keep his balance, he quickly grabbed a chair and sat down heavily.

The room was dead silent.

The only sound was the relentless thunder and lightning raging outside the window.

It took several agonizing minutes of silence for Yardley to finally process the massive amount of information Julian had just dropped on him.

He looked completely shell-shocked, still struggling to comprehend it.

"You mean... Caleb isn't yours?"

"How is that possible? Sylvia... how could she do something so stupid?"

"We were clearly talking about what you two are doing tonight. How did this suddenly get turned around on me and Sylvia?"

Julian watched him coldly.

"What I am telling you right now is proof that Scarlett and I have done nothing wrong."

"The reason I'm divorcing your cousin is because she completely trampled on my dignity as a man and brought absolute shame to my family. I want her to sign the divorce papers as quickly as possible."

"I'm giving her one week. If she doesn't cooperate... then I will retract every single concession I offered her, and I will sue her for one hundred million in emotional damages."

"Since you two are so close, you can pass that message along. Also, tell her to go to the Croft Estate first thing tomorrow morning and take the kid. My parents don't want to look at him for another second."

Yardley: "..."

This was just too massive—so massive he had absolutely no idea what to say anymore.

He was completely dazed, not knowing how to react. His head was ringing so loudly he couldn't think. As the room violently spun around him, he suddenly pitched forward, crashing to the ground with a sickening thud—
