The workers exchanged stunned glances. They never expected the infamous CEO of the Flynn Group to humble himself and negotiate with a blue-collar crew in person.
Yardley glanced at his watch, his tone flat but laced with a tempting offer.
"I don't care how you do it, but I want this finished by the end of the month. If you deliver on time, I'll personally sign off on the final payment, and I'll add a twenty percent bonus for everyone."
A massive reward always breeds motivation.
The previously sluggish atmosphere ignited instantly. The foreman rushed forward, his face split into a wide grin.
"Mr. Flynn, don't you worry! With your word on the line, we'll work through the night to make this place look spectacular!"
Yardley gave a slight nod. He grabbed a chair, sat right in the middle of the debris, and personally oversaw the work.
With his back against the wall, he stayed planted at the site for an entire week.
Word quickly reached Jacqueline.
When she arrived at the site, she spotted Yardley standing on the second-floor corridor.
He was holding a construction schedule, his head tilted as he listened to the foreman's report, his expression focused and intense.
Hearing her footsteps, he turned around. Seeing it was Jacqueline, he immediately stood up and offered a polite greeting.
"Mom."
Jacqueline was genuinely surprised to see him actually there, but a mocking smile quickly touched her lips.
"Well, if it isn't the great CEO Flynn. My modest establishment isn't exactly built for royalty like you. Just pay the damages and be done with it. This kind of manual oversight isn't your style."
Yardley adjusted his cuffs, neither arrogant nor submissive.
