He Lost Me to His Best Friend novel Chapter 583

Franklin looked up, stunned to see Corinne standing there with their daughters, especially Catherine, who had surprisingly returned from abroad.

Corinne took a deep breath and walked right up to him.

"Franklin, Yardley is your flesh and blood. He's your only son and the rightful heir to the Flynn Group. Since he took over as CEO, he's poured his heart and soul into this company. How could you, his own father, bear to force him out during the toughest moment of his life? You're not just breaking your son's heart; you're breaking all of ours!"

"And let me make one thing very clear. I will never grant you a divorce. If you keep pushing Yardley, if you keep pushing me, I will hold a press conference and let the public be the judge of all this!"

With her three daughters and son standing by her side, Corinne finally found the courage to stand up to Franklin.

"You... you people!" Franklin stammered, his finger trembling as he pointed at Corinne, his chest heaving. "Are you trying to gang up on me? You've got some nerve!"

Clarissa frowned and stepped forward, her tone icy. "Dad, we're not ganging up on you. We're trying to protect this family."

"After what you did with Irene Sommers and those illegitimate children, don't you think you owe us all an apology?"

Displaying a toughness she rarely showed, Clarissa continued, "Let's be clear. If you insist on ousting Yardley for Irene's sake, we, along with the senior board members, will stand firmly behind him at tomorrow's meeting."

"Fine... just fine! You really are my wonderful children!"

Franklin's face turned a mottled gray. He swept a dark, furious glare over the room before fixing his eyes on Yardley.

"I don't necessarily want to strip you of your title. But given the current mess, are you actually capable of fixing it?"

"The company's stock is plummeting. Internal management is a disaster. Half the design department walked out with Scarlett! Right now, we don't even have a decent designer on staff to draft anything worthwhile. How are we supposed to bid on top-tier projects?"
