He Lost Me to His Best Friend novel Chapter 592

Sylvia’s sense of victimization spiraled entirely out of control. A cold, bitter laugh erupted from her throat.

"Every single step I took, you people forced my hand!" she shrieked. "If Scarlett hadn't shown up, I would still be the princess of my family! Everyone adored me! Everyone revolved around me! But she ripped all my happiness to shreds and turned me into a monster!"

She pointed a shaking finger at them. "I will never let you have peace, Scarlett! And you, Julian—you promised you’d take care of me when we got married, but you stabbed me in the back. You'll rot in hell for this! I’m going to make every single one of you pay for humiliating me!"

Blind with rage, Sylvia had completely walked into Julian’s psychological trap.

Julian maintained his calm, composed demeanor, his eyes locked onto hers. "So you went to Kane. You asked him to help you get revenge on us."

He didn't miss a beat. "If I’m not mistaken, Caleb is Kane's son. That’s why you smuggled him to Myanor for Kane to raise. The burner phone that threatened Scarlett belonged to Kane’s people. You wanted him to destroy Scarlett and everyone she cared about, and his first target was Gordon."

"But then you remembered how good Gordon used to be to you, and your guilty conscience dragged you here. You thought you could check on him and simultaneously manipulate him into turning against us. Is that about right?"

Sylvia was paralyzed.

She never imagined that the airtight plan she thought she’d executed flawlessly had been deduced with such terrifying accuracy. Panic swallowed her whole. Before she could stop herself, she gasped, "How... how did you know?"

The second the words left her mouth, she realized what she had done.
